Five Stocks with a Firm Grip on This Market

Courtesy of The PPT algorithm, here are the most current top five readings from my “12631 RELATIVE STRENGTH” custom-made screen, identifying which stocks are exuding some of the best performances to the market at-large at any given moment.

I look for stocks whose Daily PPT Hybrid Score surges, while the Weekly Hybrid has been negative over the past week. This can often yield stocks which are emerging from consolidations.

The junior gold miners, standouts yesterday and of late to the upside, are pulling in today.

Simply put, for me to reenter JNUG on the long side, I want to see the gap down to $40.39 hold.

Elsewhere, a few long ideas/base breakouts acting well this morning: FLR FLS FWLT NR.

While the gold miner ETF’s come in today, little AAU, which we looked at yesterday, is green and trying to clear the important $1.50 level.

Keep an eye out for individual miners outperforming today, playing catch-up, as JNUG pulls back 10%.

I am looking to add to my UCO long today, with crude threatening a secondary breakout after soundly holding last week’s gap higher.

After so many years of false breakouts and successful traders fading the edges, black gold may be sporting a pain trade to the upside.

Note the base over the past week, sideways and tight, as price pushes up and off it so far this morning.

Here was my note to 12631 members regarding my JNUG sale just now. Just to clarify, I remain wildly bullish on the prospects of a multi-year bottom here. But a 22.5% win in one overnight hold compels me to exercise discipline.

Sold final piece of $JNUG long @ $30 from $23.24 entry yesterday to lock in the rest of the win. Still very bullish on prospects for major bottom in metals and miners but have to take fast, big gains when I get them. Looking to reenter soon.
