The Fool is no Fool. Holding only HLCS, JAZZ, SAY, NVAX and DVAX. Sold a lot of stuff yesterday afternoon after realizing I was way too busy and was losing focus – I was sloppy on a number of trades I shouldn’t have been and ended up with a loss of over 1% – completely preventable.
More DVAX at 2.63 – company is grossly undervalued, poised to become the hepatitis company. Asia has more hepatitis than anywhere on the planet. They also have all the money right now.
I’m with you doc after doing more research today (a bit late) and not adding yesterday (so stupid and pussy move by me) although I wish I unloaded some at the open but I had a smallish position to start off with. If I see it leveling off I will add otherwise I am looking around 2.57 to double up. Target is around $4 although could be much higher …..

IMO this looks like a win on chart air till at least $4 and easily even more ~$5). Volume is hige and as soon as everyone who needed to take profits does so and consolidates at lower avg prices I think we could have a nice run end of day and if not and we consolidate lower I averaged at low enough prices to hold longer.

Some of it should be in mine. My consistency record on that has been spotty due to day trading syndrome. I’ve sold out many I shouldn’t have to raise cash for trades. My list of long term holds I’ve sold is lengthy and painful to look at.
Feeling good about the product / pipeline and market aspects helps me tolerate bumps no self respecting day trader should. I’ve been pretty lucky, I will be bitten in the ass hard one day of that I’m sure.

Nat Gas futures went freakin’ bananas today with a huge short covering rally on news that was actually pretty bad (there’s too much of this crap being stored and not being used).
After a “less worse” than expected storage number, it ripped all day long. I had the chance to make some wonderful money today – I’ve been talking about waiting for this day for a couple of weeks. I simply love when something is oversold.
Looking back, there are some interesting observations on the tape.
Biggest volume day in 12 mos.
Ripped all day and closed (2:30) at the high of the day
Initial downtrend started 4.160 on 8/3
Trend hit a low of 2.409 on 9/4 (there was a contract roll on 8/27 so the chart gets funny)

Now, I’m not one to watch fib levels but somebody obviously was!
38% 3.074 – paused to consolidate at 3.084 – gave up over 50 ticks and resumed 1 hour later
50% 3.284 – paused at 3.278 one minute before the floor session close – sideways since then
62% 3.494 – possible next target & hits resistance at this level
On a day with very high volume, open interest was up 3800 contracts. It is actually unusual for open interest to be this high this far into the contract. I take this as a bullish sign for the next few days. Not that I think we won’t retrace some, but I believe buying dips would be a successful strategy possibly through next Wednesday.
Beyond that, I think reality will set in again as we get more crappy storage numbers next Thursday.
Also – UNG was a good tell today for a couple of the rips – good to keep that chart up while trading /NG.
Purdy … Found a warrant on OPXA (OPXAW) that will give you some leverage even if the spread is a little bit wide …. about 1/3 the price of the stock … 400K to 1.2MM shares traded the last 3 days …

DVAX did a fucking AVNR today so I’m up late and unhappy about that.
Realistically, however, this was the “only” catalyst this stock needed and it’s happened now. Before the clinical hold it was a $5 stock and I think it goes back. Besides, they actually have a revenue stream unlike most of these insanely valued POS’s we all trade.
