No time to write, but here are some charts. I have a wake up at 4:30AM to catch a flight. I usually sleep at around 3AM, so I have to force myself to sleep.
First up are the SPX charts in the following order: 5-day, 10-day, 1-month, 2-year.
I want to note something very important in the 2-year chart and it has to do with the volume pattern. For the first time, the volume is increasing on the up days. If you looked previously, the volume has always risen during the selloffs and declined during the rallies.
Next up are the SPDR Select sector ETFs.

YEah saw that big bummer for me as I loaded up last week big …. I dumped a lot on Friday and just unloaded most in pre-market. Still hold a couple grand in the case I totally called this wrong.

Thanks for the overview CA – didn’t have much time to enjoy Baltimore friday – sucked to miss a great trading day. For those interested, trading on an iphone is not too great. I only had a few hold over losing positions in MBI, DRL, RDN and sweet HBAN and went to 100% cash at 1:44 pm – seemed the risk / reward wasn’t so good but man that volume is hard to ignore.
Looking out for squeezes if things turn up INT, HOV, NCS, TXI, WTI, BZH, PODD, ENER, as well as action in the biotech, shippers and small oil which have missed the pumped up action.
AIG, FRE, FNM all up sizeably in premarket …. will we have more plays today? I almost am afraid to touching these todays as financials seem like they might have a slight sellloff today … we’ll see.
edited to add: C sees more action … Cramer is hard at pumping it so that is never to be discarded.

Freddie Mac surged 80 percent to $1.33. The mortgage- finance company reported second-quarter net income of $768 million and didn’t ask the U.S. Treasury for more aid. FRE trades to $1.37 from a close of $.74 and sister company FNM is up from $.66 to $.92 in the pre.
Keep your eyes on RTK … reported earnings of 22 cents .. huge for a sub $1 stock.

Yo bows to my bankers Milan, Juicyfruit and CA – coin socked away in FRE, RTK and AHD – didn’t have time to post all my trades during my work day but those were all insane buys along with DRL. Up north of 2% in the portfolio today with just a 30% long posture – never would have happened without hanging out here. Trimmed down to 1/2 or less positions in:

ChnDragun; you can look at Highshortinterest.com, Finviz.com, shortsqueeze.com – most list the float, some don’t calculate the ratio (how many days of ave. trading to cover). Make sure you’re looking at apples and apples – Finviz.com seems to not include shares held by insiders – which likely makes good sense. It had DRL at 43% with 8 days to cover. 91% of DRL shares are held by insiders and was ignored by Finviz. Shortsqueeze ignored the insiders and showed only 4%. Look at what this POS stock DRL did today – it might have started technical and I can’t prove it, but that action, esp. at EOD must have been a lot of short sellers scrambling out of the cave.
I meant shortsqueeze included the shares held by insiders.

Why is the overall volume on SPX down over the last 6 months? Its almost a stair step down as the market has rallied.
