Buy Gold Stocks

Earlier today I bought a basket of Gold & Silver. Let’s take a look at this for a second. Gold is still trading north of $800, but the stocks are trading as if the commodity is at $400.

My first thought is maybe the market is telling us Gold is going lower. But, on the other hand, what if this is an excellent buying opportunity?

With all the new money being printed I believe gold has plenty of upside left. As Peter Schiff says, “There’s always a headfake before a big move.”

I like the group as a whole, thus purchasing a basket of stocks this morning.

Note: In no way am i saying to put your whole portfolio in Gold, but i believe some of these names are worth a look.

I’m back in Google Inc. [[GOOG]] for the IRA. The stock is trading less than it’s growth rate.

P/E: 24

5year Growth (per annum): 25%

Update: I also added First Solar, Inc. [[FSLR]] to the IRA @ 148.00

I sold:

• [[UYG]] @ 12.97
• JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR) [[JASO]] @ 7.50

I also bought a gold & silver basket:

1. Apex Silver Mines Limited [[SIL]] @ 1.80 (Spec play)
2. Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) [[AUY]] @ 6.38
3. Silver Wheaton Corp. (USA) [[SLW]] @ 5.58
4. Goldcorp Inc. (USA) [[GG]] @ 25

It’s good to see green. Just last Friday I thought I was dead, I mean I was buying FCX in the low 40s and NOV in the low 20s, but they refused to trade higher. Well today, I feel like I can breathe.

My cost basis on Apple Inc. [[AAPL]] is around $110, thanks to asshole dip buying, and my loss is almost recovered. I pretty good portion of my portfolio is also in [[UYG]] from 10, so it’s good to see that one trade higher as well.

The only thing I added today was JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR) [[JASO]] , I regret not buying Google Inc. [[GOOG]] at the open, but what can you do.

Today my portfolio is up huge, but it’s bitter sweet as I’m just recovering last week’s losses. In the event I decide to allocate new capital, it will be in the energy space. Even with this run up, some of the names are still dirt cheap.

It pays not to panic. What a day for the Market!

Get ready for another ride of your life this week. We have earnings reports, Government intervention, and options expiration.
