Google Unveils its Pixel Smartphone

Alphabet Inc’s Google on Tuesday announced a new “Pixel” smartphone and a suite of new consumer electronics products for the home, planting itself firmly in the hardware business and challenging Apple Inc’s iPhone at the high end of the $400 billion global smartphone market.

The string of announcements – including the $649 Pixel, a smart speaker for the living room dubbed “Home,” a virtual reality headset, and a new Wi-Fi router – is the clearest sign yet that Google intends to compete head-to-head with Apple, Amazon.com Inc and even manufacturers of phones using its own Android mobile operating system. Susquehanna analyst Shyam Patil performed a potential takeout price analysis on Twitter, Inc. (NYSE: TWTR) and sees a takeout range at $17-$26. With the stock currently trading at $24, they believe most of the potential upside has likely been captured. READ MORE

A Montana man mauled by a grizzly bear, twice, took to Facebook before he even received medical treatment to share a warning with fellow residents and visitors to the area; carry bear spray and “be safe out there.”

“I went to my face in the dirt and wrapped my arms around the back of my neck for protection. She was on top of me biting my arms, shoulders and backpack,” wrote Orr in a long message posted after the initial, blood-drenched video. “The force of each bite was like a sledge hammer with teeth. Tesla Motors IncTSLA announced it had delivered 24,500 vehicles in Q3, beating the delivery estimate of 21,000 vehicles.
