The market will open just 2-3 pts from the 200-day MA. I expect strong support at this level. I left enough spaces for the rest of the month. I did this a several times up to this point, but it’s all the same – it’s going to get complicated for the month of July.

Regarding ES, NQ, ER2 : Congratulations to those that trade these well. If you are beginning, be careful. I had a difficult time with them. Lost money. I was short most of the time. Daytraded only.
I had issues with fear, greed and impatience. There were bad days where I stopped keeping track of my numerous stupid trades. I had very good trades when I was patient enough to wait for a well-defined entry, but had a hard time sitting on my hands until this happened.
As CA has wisely advised, get your emotional house in order and demand discipline from yourself, for yourself. No one will be there to hold you back from making an idiotic trade, (or several of them).
If you get angry, I definitely agree with CA and suggest stopping your trading immediately. This will save you money.
I found an efficient way of monitoring my daytrades, and analyzing them later, by printing out the entire trading day in 2 minute candlesticks with position entry and exits, trendlines, volume and stochastics(14-3-3), but maybe (5-3-3) is better for shorter term (Alan Farley). I found the stochastics useful for divergences (e.g. double tops early in session very nice). This provided a very quick way to see if I was trading to plan and eliminated taking so many notes. It also made it very clear when I was being foolish. I would also write any S/R from longer timeframes on the chart, especially the premarket high/low.
I expended a lot of energy trading these and needed a break. Thanks for posting the ES trades, I find these interesting.

The 200-day is usually the most powerful support level for anything. I have to see how the day forms.

Passed 200-day test with flying colors.
Mostly watching today, but did refill a couple of positions I halved last week. My screening for today was not very exciting – I had 9 to watch for today and since I was in the mood to be very conservative I didn’t bite on any. We’ll see what tonight’s review brings.
I meant to get this up on the 3rd – but didn’t make it. I know you’re into some military stuff CA – hope you don’t mind the post. I’m a dedicated amateur military historian myself. Last week I attended the funeral of my 87 year old Uncle who lived an incredibly full life. Anyway, something I’d never seen – he was a veteran of WWII and had a veteran’s final salute at his gravesite. For those not familiar hope this gives a good sense of the brief moment…
2 uniformed Service members were in attendance, and an american flag draped his coffin. Taps was played on the bugle by one serviceman, during this time the “Final Salute” (slow, very deliberate) was given by the other in front of his coffin. The American flag draping his coffin was folded and then presented to his wife Estelle. The bugler handed it to her in a formal, quiet manner and said:
“As a representative of the United States Army, it is my high privilege to present you this flag. Let it be a symbol of the grateful appreciation this nation feels for the distinguished service rendered to our country and our flag by your loved one.”
He then followed with another “Final Salute” to Estelle. I was pretty moist in the eyes, those words carried a lot of stuff with them.
