Post like this one are why 90% of retail fails using dump shit like stochastics…..
scotts work is excellent, and even though I fully agree that stochs as a predictive tool literally dont mean shit, at all, in any context, and that if you knew the math behind it (very simple) one might likely agree, it hasnt prevented him from making a bunch of excellent trades, all high probability, with controlled risk. That is much more important than whatever out of the box indicator you decide to use to help frame the context for a trade.
One thing that I think people should realize about blogger/traders/professional investors etc is that Scott is the primary benefactor of Scotts advice. Inasmuch that if he wants to use stochastics along with a lucky yellow tie to help his decisions, it’s his prerogative, and it works for him so fuck it.
