Valeant Pharmaceuticals has announced their financial guidance for the fourth quarter and year end as well as 2016.
“We are very excited about the strong future given our broad portfolio of brands, our upcoming launch products and our robust R&D pipeline,” said J. Michael Pearson , chairman and chief executive officer. “We believe that we are entering a new era of growth and opportunity as we continue to build and grow our businesses around the world and deliver medicines and products at affordable prices that improve the lives of patients.”
Valeant will be holding a conference call/webcast at 8:00am ET today.

I think the Valeant story was blown way out of proportion and the stock was oversold. However, I’m amazed, as of writing this now, that they’re almost up 9% on the day. 99% of stocks that receive lower guidance are smacked hard the day after and in some instances days and weeks. Any thoughts as to why the huge bounce? Thanks!
With the Walgreens deal positive, and the slash in guidance, quite honestly I think investors are seeing this as a fake out. There is a chance that Valeant is cutting back their guidance so that the actual numbers look that much more positive.
You never know in this market. Good news is bad news, and bad news is good news.

Was something I raised all hell about to have it added to the fund but people bitched and moaned like a bunch of 9 year old boys scared of the dark.
