Where is all the fun in just business ? All work and no play makes Cronkite a dull reporter.
In an effort to stimulate the mind I will put together various articles that I find interesting and worthy of your time. I hope you will enjoy.
Are we alone ?
Man once believed that the sun rotated around him or the earth that is.
Then we came to believe through Carl Sagan that there may not be any life beyond the third rock from the sun.
Stephen Hawking said that if there were intelligent life in the universe besides us, then we should fear them if the came to earth. He likened the scenario to man taking an interest in an anthill. It could only end up in trouble for the ants.
It would seem that alien worlds have now been quantified.
Intelligent civilizations are out there and there could be thousands of them, according to an Edinburgh scientist.
The discovery of more than 330 planets outside our solar system in recent years has helped refine the number of life forms that are likely to exist.
The current research estimates that there are at least 361 intelligent civilizations in our Galaxy and possibly as many as 38,000.

Still More on Health Matters
Don’t drink the water is what I’m finding more and more lately.
Around 66% of all public water is fluoridated. Do your own home work and decide for yourself. Here is one place to get started.
Do you have a list ?
I find it hard to believe that some people have never left their city, county, state, or even the country. I have traveled to about a 39 states, 11 islands, and 9 countries.
As Americans we work too hard and vacation too little. If you are short on funds then travel wisely is my motto.

Cronk … regarding alien life … that fact is well known and the greatest coverup in the history of this planet by governmental & religious authorities. When the facts become known, organized religions in their past & current forms, will be laid to rest.

Juice,
Thank you for the “site of sites”….a lot of interesting links.
As far as religion being laid to rest, anything short of a alien race specifically telling us that they created us, I’m not so sure it will go away that easily.
As far as cover up is concerned there seems to be credible facts and occurrences that are withheld from the public. Thankfully the internet and principles that founded this country can bring things obscure to light.

Hey, we just wanted to pop by and say you guys are idiots.
POPE, Graham, & Mother Theresa:
Mother Theresa was a true humanitarian.
Your comments were very “insightful.”
Robin Williams has gotten on my nerves since I was a little kid and he was Mork from Ork. Chris Rock, on the other hand, is a comic genius.
I define that as someone who could take material that is otherwise “meh” or “so-so funny” and make it hilarious via the performance. I mean “Cracky Cremes” is not really that funny, but when he says it, there’s no doubt it is.
I was remarking upon this to someone yesterday with regard to Alec Baldwin’s performance in 30 Rock, which I had caught on Hulu.
____
JakeGint that skit from Robin was pretty funny. If your into golf it really makes you crack up when considering the game itself. Also he is great at improv.
Delivery is everything ! Chris Rock makes me laugh for sure.
Unfortunately, I have not seen 30 Rock. As for Alec, no offense to him, I feel there is a lot to be desired. Perhaps I say this in haste, for I have not really reviewed all of his work.
Cronkite, do we also know you as GW?
Good stuff, nice news feed this week.
boca,
I am Cronkite. I’m not familiar with anyone except for the one you call THE FLY.
You are the second person to say this. What makes you believe I am GW ?
Thank you for the compliment about the news feed.
I have never thought Robin Wlliams was funny yet I was amazed at how much I loved his dramatic work..Alec Baldwin the reverse. average dramatic “tough Guy” pretty damn funny at comedt @ 30Rock..we all see things through different eyes ..same applies to music, art, literature etc. ..the nature of opinions, subjective. Enjoy the addition to an already superb website
Cronkhite,
You may gain an appreciation for Mr. Baldwin after viewing this from Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross – some great dialogue in here:

If you get bored, you can play count the Oscar winners. Also, stay tuned for the shot after the 5 min mark – the one stolen from Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours album.
The Braveflaps family is thinking about recreating it for next year’s Christmas card.
