  21. Da_bears says:

Bought EDZ @9.58 and FAZ @34.1. Peace. Stops @ low of day

    • a bet against me, i see

    • PissAnt says:

      Da_bears…
This fucker was laughing at me last night for getting long stock when i said the futures were drifting higher, saying there were 15.5 hours till the open… the fucker was short coming into the day.

I guess 15.5 hours later i was right… futures ripped. This market isgoing to collect a lot of bodies today.

      • Da_bears says:

I never said futures wouldnt be higher. I simply stated that the first hour of futures means little about tomorrows open. As there are like 15+ hours left of futures trading before market open. Thats all.

    • PissAnt says:

Da_bears… already stopped out of EDZ…. great job!

      • Da_bears says:

A nine cent loss. Big deal

      • kchu says:

PissAnt, this is what you did last night
“Bought some MRNA @ 1.83 in afterhours…. futures trending higher already”

you probably got out, but MRNA is now 1.53

        • Da_bears says:

Lol………. sometimes you pick right direction and wrong stock.

        • PissAnt says:

I know when i’m wrong with a stock, go fuck yourself.

Sell 5,000 Shares Limit $1.75 Day Only 9:11 AM 07/30/2009
          Sold 5,000 $1.79 Settles on 08/04/2009 9:30 AM 07/30/2009

          Status: CLOSED – Filled Order #: 1010610

Best price of the day, not to mention… Made 5% on CPF, and bought FAS on the open.

    • sergeifreud says:

i do think we’ll see 999 today, so you should at least wait ’til then

  22. JP says:

    asia 20.24, tight stop

  23. JP says:

    AMSC ripping!

  24. Yogi & Boo Boo says:

How’s that TNA and FAS crack feeling? My oh my! :-)

  25. JP says:

You guys expecting a pullback at 1K on S&P?

    • Da_bears says:

Be much more than a pullback, but rather an IT top

    • Mike says:

Psychological resistance at a minimum, approaching 1k is a selling point for me until we get a clear indication of market directon. Might stall at 1k and break higher, might be a top as da-bears is saying. I’m willing to sit back on my pile of gains today and watch things develop before taking any action. +35% on a lot of ES today.

  26. Da_bears says:

CA. Testing your knowledge here. Do you see a pattern on the market from daily/60 minute perspective. Dont have to disclaim which one except where your next target area is.

Not to put you on the spot just want to see if you see what I see

  27. WTF says:

CA, r u gonna lock in ur 10% FAS profits now?

    • Da_bears says:

because your asking you should exit as you have no target/ exit strategy. what has he said before

      • WTF says:

“testing ur knowledge here” gimme a break da_bear. u asked the same question as me in a different way, and then u try to suck up to CA. FAZ is probably gonna reach 33 ….shit in ur pants mate

        • Da_bears says:

I never asked him what the pattern is …. just if he sees it. I already know what the pattern is etc. I am just wondering if he sees it. Thats all. And I get that from his next target area.

  28. Da_bears says:

Slowly dipping toe back into EDZ. Only half of original position as I need to see more. Buying VIX and US dollar calls. FAZ loose without stop

  29. Yogi & Boo Boo says:

Is Trish Regan wearing a red and blue cheerleader suit?

  30. JP says:

Sold half AMSC to lock gains, 35.86, 17% gain

  31. masterpain says:

    VIX up

  32. Yogi & Boo Boo says:

CA – Could the area between ~1004 and 1190 be considered a “no man’s land”, or doesn’t that work on longer time frames? Interesting concept. TIA.

  33. Juiceyfruit says:

    By Doug Kass

The 1929-1930 equity rally coming out of The Great Depression lasted 147 days and was up 46%.~Off of the ‘generational low’ in early March, it has been 145 days, and the advance is the same 46%.

    • Cash-N-Guns says:

thats some erie shit..thanks for sharing…I think we are within days of top / reversal…there is no fucking recovery…thats like saying dennis kneale is a man…he is a hybrid pussifed homo

  34. Sold both FAS and TNA. I will revisit them

  35. Da_bears says:

    Watch bounce @992 or collapse.

  36. sergeifreud says:

CA – what is your opinion on VVTV?
it’s been trading in a very tight range for the last 6 days – is that considered good or bad?

  37. FAS was a 48% position, and TNA was a 50% position.

That was the definition of ‘massive’ and ‘crazy’ earlier this morning.

If I told people this at the open, people would somehow screw themselves up.

  38. newbiewannamakemoney says:

CA, what is your opinion on CPF and NAVR?

NAVR broke $2 but is not moving anywhere.

    Thanks

  39. Gunners says:

Locked in profits over the last 30 mins. 100% cash

  40. Cash-N-Guns says:

predicting a cnbc top is very close at hand…perhaps even a devasting reversal…that will rip all cnbc skanks into a vat of twinkies…

  41. Schismatic says:

    MGI primed to BTFO

  42. July 30, 2009 says:

Well, I got killed today. Got into my positions too soon, but I promise this is it. Market top on S&P is 999. We should hit that number today, and then it’s all over for the market. Sorry I was not completely precise, and it cost me dearly. If this doesn’t happen, I am done talking to you guys and won’t bother you again.

    • Da_bears says:

You are correct top will be in today either already happened or 3-4 points higher high for finish of 5 of 5…….

    • TC says:

If you are wrong, your punishment is to stick your head in the toilet and flush three times. You are welcome back only if you can provide a picture of this happening.

    • Cash-N-Guns says:

its not an easy thing to pick turns..hang in there…fuck CNBC, and this green shoot bullshit….all i see and hear are fucking horror stories in business

      • I bit the bullet early this morning and sold most of my shorts. I am still short the SP though unless it convincingly breaks through 1000. I might add more SDS later.
You don’t have to be right ALL the time – just most of the time ;)

  43. CSE looks primed on intra-day

  44. Richy says:

market reversal at 999 would be too convenient for the majority. The majority never win. 1050 -1075 is where I’ll get short.

  45. Da_bears says:

Going to get one last push most likely to sub 1000. I just wont really trade it much

  46. Yea, every time I have tried to time the turns, I have been unsuccessful simply because levels like 1000 and 980 are too convenient and Government Sachs computers blow some liquidity into the markets at just those times…

  47. Yogi & Boo Boo says:

Bears – Take it from Yogi (I’m a genuine bear after all), why try to pick a top (or bottom for that matter?), why not let the market tell you when it’s ready to roll over. Let it happen then then jump on it. What’s the rush?

    • Dr. Incognito says:

Seriously, there are plenty of Pick-a-niC baskets for all. We should worry more about Ranger Rick than collecting all the picnic baskets in the park.

    • Docsparks says:

So true yogi. That lesson is always available in case it’s forgotten…the Joshdogger / August, 2, 2009 (or whenever) was great for providing examples.

  48. Keith says:

ARM, BZ, CWTR, GRMN, WRES looking good!!

  49. eyebrow punch says:

I shorted RIMM today 76.97 – my stop is at 76.81 now and RIMM just missed it by a cent – i think its having a bear flag breakdown on the 5 min – if anyone wants to join

  50. Juiceyfruit says:

    An Interesting Parallel (Part Deux)?

    By Doug Kass

After the 1930 rally of 46%, the U.S. stock market experienced a 700-day drop of 85%!

  51. Docsparks says:

CA – what’s your take on LPHI and CODI in the immediate term? I’m in them both – LPHI is heavily shorted.

    • Docsparks says:

Never mind – right after I wrote LPHI flagged on making the 200 day and I sold – been a good couple of sessions but I wanted a big day on it. Still keeping my eye on it.

  52. RaginCajun says:

    Thanks Fly leech.

  53. rocketman says:

    in HBAN at $4

  54. rocketman says:

    options too….oh geez.

  55. venim says:

    GGC! WOW!

50% position would have been great there!

  56. PissAnt says:

There is some history of reversals in the market on a big economic report. Hopefully we get a great GDP report tomorrow, the market gaps higher… i’d reenter on the short side then.

  57. Fly's Guy says:

    CA,
notice TBT is red……with the GDP tomorrow and wave 5…..possibly start positioning short??

  58. Great call on KFN CA!

  59. Fly's Guy says:

    Yogi,

no short the market….TBT should be rallying

  60. Trader says:

CA, what made you allocate all of your portfolio to two stocks, especially leveraged ones? Was there a setup or something you saw on the chart that gave you a higher probability play?

48% and 50%….seems way to risky.

  61. The TODD says:

    Hey CA,

Do you ever have problems getting out of these pennies? I figure you’d have quite a number of shares to get your 5%-10% allocation. How do you work these orders?

  62. PissAnt says:

TrendTrade guy is as gay as Dennis Kneale

  63. Sold KFN @ 2.03
    Thanks CA!

  64. Cash-N-Guns says:

a reversal would cause a massive panick…odd no..?

  65. PissAnt says:

Anybody mess with these DMM or UMM’s? These things are wierd, but seem overdone… i need to look into them, but looks like people might be getting overdone on housing price gains.

    • Da_bears says:

      Do you see the volume/illiquidity

      not my prefered choice

      • PissAnt says:

I didnt say i was daytrading it… but they put this thing out when housing wasnt showing any signs of stabilization… now all of a sudden we see stabilization, and people are freaking out of these ETN’s

        • Da_bears says:

I mean one is bearish other bullish. But from investors most are shying away due to volume, therefore not really worth looking into them until volume improves-in my opinion

    • PissAnt, I have traded them a couple of times and currently am long UMM since 3 days ago. It has been a nice ride but I am not sure where to bail. For now I let it ride a few more days. I am trying to get a feel for them as I have a good handle on the Case Shiller index itself through my ARIMA time series models.

  66. Sold other half KFN $2.02

  67. Da_bears says:

CA- i notice you do mostly intraday trades with a few Swing and they work out well. You ever make IT predictions/ more than week + bets? Like half portfolio IT other half ST

    • No. There is no reasonable way to “predict” that far out.

      • Da_bears says:

Guess that is where we differ but…. you seem to do well at what you do= The charts must obey long term TL’s for things to stay bullish/remain bearish. But they do not predict every move, just the timeperiod where they must obey. In other words a monthly can move outside of TL and still be good as long as it closes back within.. not that you dont know that

  68. and back in KFN $2.08

  69. Cash-N-Guns says:

riddle when could a 150 point selloff cause panic…….hmmm…..ah……today.

  70. dizzles says:

    Guys / CA

What you think of MEG? Low vol, tight ascending triangle?

    • Da_bears says:

Play the breakout. Or play from bottom of ascending triangle with tight stop. Dont even have to look at the symbol to tell you that

  71. PissAnt says:

    Bought RF @ 4.20

  72. Someone has a HUGE lot at 4.25 in RF

  73. CA- What do you think of CSE and ACAS on the intraday?

  74. Docsparks says:

Back in LPHI – hoping CODI or LPHI will deliver the break

Crap…will tolerate a little loss since my cash is all locked up (IRA)

  75. techFin says:

what do you all think of the run today? one day or it goes on next week??

    • Da_bears says:

That is why there is a market… people have differing opinions…. .I think today’s the top….. but my right to be right is as good as person trading with account # 1 higher than me. I

  76. newbiewannaloveCA says:

RAD is abt to b/o. target $1.60 then $1.97

  77. I love winning everyday.

  78. Cash-N-Guns says:

    MRNA getting poleaxed…wow

  79. Sold HBAN $4.14, RF $4.26

  80. Da_bears says:

I might have caught the high in market with EDZ/FAZ. Not exact high but close enough. No jynx. But gap down tomorrow is highly needed for my scenario

  81. PissAnt says:

    Sold RF @ 4.25

  82. Cash-N-Guns says:

last 20 minutes could be highly interesting…do i smell fear…bulls..?

  83. sergeifreud says:

    ERY 18.65
    ans earlier EDZ 9.59

  84. Cut everything except $RAD

  85. sergeifreud says:

    sold SCSS 2.05

  86. PURDY says:

    Shooting star time????

  87. PissAnt says:

Somebody got wind of a $14B capital injecton into GE, came out at 3:40pm… market traded off 7 mins before that.

    • PissAnt says:

excuse me…. heard the rumor, not factual:
FW: (BN) GE Capital May Need $14 Billion Injection, CreditSights Say

  88. JP says:

    faz 34.71

  89. I may add shit after hours

  90. Cash-N-Guns says:

bob piss-on-me will be choking on his words tomorrow..hahahahaaa fucking retard

  91. EN1GMA says:

    Hey CA,

If you’re taking charting requests, can you chart HEB on stocktwits? don’t have an account there.. Thanks dude.

  92. smpchan says:

“July 30, 2009″ I think you might have gotten “market” top right today (or tomorrow) because:
    i) The Nasdaq/QQQQ, the market leader index, shooting star candle today
ii) long term trendline resistance drawn from 2007 top, Aug 2008 top, etc.
iii) Less Tarp money in manipulating the market
iv) Probably end of monthly fundies window dressing today or tomorrow.

    • Da_bears says:

You got the market top because it is IT reversal point. and because dollar/vix bottomed earlier in the week. 840-865

  93. JP says:

    TOMO 3.15

  94. StanKey says:

SPX looks like a shooting star (or falling star ;) ) on daily chart and with possible exchaustion gap?. With all the psych on having this rally needed to be corrected, aren’t we getting the sign of it? What do you think?
