No new developments in the market. I warn you that I expect major whipsaw on both the intra-day and daily time frames for the next several days/weeks. Don’t play games with the market here, since you are guaranteed to lose.
Instead, I suggest holding a majority cash position and fill your portfolio with high probability long and short setups if you are going to swing. In addition, day trading will help you fill the coffers on a daily basis, provided that you don’t lose. I will write an educational article on short setups, similar to the one I did for the long setups.
I put up the 5-day, 1-month, and 8-month charts below. The magical lines should tell you that today’s action is not going to be pretty. In fact, I recommend not trading. However, since I am an Addict, I will be ignoring my own advice.

I’m finding that the 20, 50, and 200 day simple moving averages are playing a big role, as well as the trend/range lines you indicated. Have you found that to be the case as well? (Maybe I’m stating the obvious, but I’m new to TA.)

I dunno what’s going on with TLB – I picked it up a while back on my screen, looked away and bought it – that went really well twice, closed out all the positions after the pops lucky as hell. Noticed it had a 30% short float and just an quess…I would only short it heading down as I’m actually pretty conservative. I just hate those clothes so much after living in Narragansett in the late 90’s and seeing them everywhere, and read a bit on how much the company lost. There’s a new article about they just cut over 300 employees and gave the CEO a bonus. Putz took it.

retox – MEDX / Bristol working on this one. Ipilimumab is an antibody, in general I love this stuff because it ultimately it will be so damn precise – but it takes money and lots of it. Prostate cancer – way common. Poor joke to the non-meds, but it goes something like, “you live long enough you get it.” People are living a long time.
Big pharma needs this stuff badly and although it’s a wild guess, they’ve got a lot of cash. What are they going to do with it to increase shareholder value – buy back stock? Another guess is there are plenty of these biotech firms that are shit, but many that have cash and good science, why not have a small position in a bunch of them?
