Yes, folks. The circus is back, and amazingly, I see a lot of great setups. I will remove all of my iETFs in the morning, with the exception of one of them, regardless of what the market does, and I will raid these dollar stocks once again. Not surprisingly, I took a -2% hit today. I will bank at least +5% today, regardless of what happens in the general market. Mark my words.
In the military, there are a variety of terrestrial recon scouts that gather intelligence, observe enemy positions, conduct patrols, etc. Today, SGTs FAZ and TZA, along with PVTs SRS and QID, got captured deep behind communist enemy lines and well outside of my Area of Influence. I lost radio contact with them, and they are presumed to be dead.
Back in the day, long time ago, Jesse Livermore used to send out “feelers”, or small positions, to “test” out the market. If they got killed, then he know something was wrong. Well, FAZ, TZA, SRS, and QID got the bitch slapped out of them. I consider them dead weight in my portfolio and acceptable casualties. I will sacrifice the -2% (and the -5% I took last Thursday) as acceptable losses in this war. Make no mistake, we are fighting a battle every single day in the markets. You are the commander of your own army.
In more delighting news, get ready to make some fucking money with the circus coming back to town. I have a list of picks, but I do not know which ones will breakout until they set up intraday.
Anyway, pay close attention. This circus is not over yet. I will post imminent breakout picks. Most will be day trades. If they keep up momentum throughout the day, consider them to be swing trades.

As is painfully visible, any funds that ended up being short the high beta bucket, for example REIF and other asset managers, got crushed recently. Now couple that with some pointed SEC sniffing around, a constant S&P futures bid, and some very angry investors after last Wednesday’s conference call, and all of a sudden you may see some aggressive fleeing for the exits as a beta book gets unwound: high beta (garbage stocks) getting massively covered as low beta (utilities, healthcare) are sold off in droves to facilitate cash generation to satisfy redemption requests.
Throw in a little invisible SP futs buying and you get yourself the mother of all crap stock “bull” markets. Of course, the question of what happens once the forced unwinds end remains to be answered.

This way, your long gains should outstrip the short losses, and the short will protect against downside risk. We are in a churning area in the market, and it will be this way for many days. I will not dare dedicate my accounts to one side only.

today did somewhat to i expected. i didnt expect yesterdays move to be up to 910 area so fast. nonetheless todays nonmovement makes sense. and tomorrow we will be down. i see
a channel on /es and i think it breaks and we go to 896. before a retest of 900ish. unless i am up for this move i will probably just remain in my short as i expect tomorrow to be down. target of 890 or lower
i expect slow downtrend getting back to 780 area

you guys misunderstood what i was saying. i was poking fun at yahoo message board admin. As on yahoo they pump stocks like crazy especially penny stocks. nothing wrong with playing them, sometimes their great trading tools. I was point out the fact that IBC doesnt care to yahoo message board. Hell pretty much no blog does. there is a difference between pumping and having data to back your decision.
