As discussed last night, this is the opportunity to draw in some bulls, and force out a few shorts if we reverse this move lower today. We’ve rounded out some lows intraday, but there has to be a little more speed here to the upside to draw buyers in.
Everyone is in agreement that this rally, if it materializes, needs to be shorted. And you should, as next week we’ll teter on and probably sweep the lows.
Here is the mother of all head and shoulder patterns developing, and a leg sweep here is the show that we’ve all been waiting for.

I held a small position in SDS overnight that I closed at $23.4. I was thinking we would get a move to 1910 (cash SPX) and then a big stimulus plan / rate cut out of China would rebound the market up to 2000. At that point I would be far away from longs should this come to fruition

Fry – I’ve been basically on the sidelines for 4-5 weeks now and only doing day trades. When the S&P moves below the 200DMA and the MA is sloping down I have to respect the trend, even if I’m bullish. Keeps me out of trouble. I’m not naive enough to think we don’t have rallies along the way though.
