2. Build up a watchlist of high short interest and lower quality stocks. We’ll start getting into this phase of the rally soon.
I’ve done some looking around, and I am planning a list of stocks to trade once the short squeeze play really starts to take hold again.
Again, these stocks have greater than 15% float short, and I have applied a visual filter for technical set-up, volume profile, and beta.

Hey OA what do you think of RDN? It’s like 30% short and looks coiled to me. Thanks.
Love that one. High short, no movement lately. Perfect.
would you look at the Aug 15’s? – they’re cheap here, it would seem
I picked up MELI today following from your list. Will you ?
I started with 3…GMCR, SOHU, LULU
Will check again tomorrow…Like RKUS, RBCN and BYD too.
Thanks OA. I traded a lot GMCR in 2009 and 2010, had been wild ride. Made my trader’s guts strong !
Does VRNG fit the short interest and coiled pattern in your view?
Thanks for all of your skills here at the best place on the interwebs.
Its attractive…but isn’t there some story with that stock?
Yes. Patten litigation with Goog and others.
Ah, I wouldn’t get caught up in the stock. If there are options…maybe. Only if I have an insider on speed dial.
Thanks OA
Sold F July 17’s @.19 this morning. Tried to be cute and got clubbed on some short term put plays. Read Fly’s post about trading without fear so i bought more of July 18’s for .02 and now own 5000 contracts.
Also bought 250 of the BA weekly 109’s for .04.
How do you determine that there is high short interest?
I run a search that looks for high short interest…

Ahh . Got it. Thanks!
So is there a tool for step one also,i.e., “stocks that haven’t really participated in the bear massacre?”
Same platform, but rank stocks by their performance on the day. Migrate to the bottom of the list.
