Please don’t let the dollar rip your guts out over the next couple of day, eh? As I’ve mentioned I’ll be outta heah (ovah heah) for the next five days or so. I should be able to log on with no trouble when I get to my destination, but I make no promised. I’ve been through enough travel hell to know never to take anything for granted.
That said, I’m headed to such a civilized place that they spell it “civilised” out there, what? Carry on old bean, stiff upper lip, bite on a hard scone and all that.
The miners rebounded today nicely, but I’m not yet convinced we’re done with dollar turbulence. That said I am hoovering, ever so patiently, and ever so slowly, on select lots of RGLD, BAA, SLW, EXK and AG, not to mention filling in the chinks with plenty of GDX, GDXJ and SIL. If you don’t want to mess around with individual stocks, those three are your best bets for the mining sector.
I really believe the $HUI might revisit $560 again. If it does, and we get the bounce I expect there, that’ll be your green light. Best to you all, and I’ll try to check in again over the next few days.

Thanks Jake!
I guess that means I may have to ride it down. If so, and I hope not, I hope it’s brief.
Just A Song Before I Go

Ah yes !
CS & N !
The angelic harmonies of Crosby and Nash !
The sweet virtuosity of Stills on guitar !
—
Careful … you’re showin’ yur age !
.
Grew up on Classic Rock… but didn’t live it “live” like your hippy boomer ass. 😉
That’s a nice live version though… I think I like it better than the original.

Uh Huh !!!

“Have a nice trip … See ya next fall !”
Hope you didn’t forget to pack your Charlie Daniels Band Greatest Hits CD !
😀
.
and the Marshall Tucker, Little Feat stuff too. Better yet, just get Sirius.
… swear to God I had “Marshall Tucker Band” … locked and loaded … but, before I hit “post comment” … opted for “Charlie Daniels” !
BTW … Lowell George … R.I.P.
Little Feat was destined for true greatness … but …
.
Agreud … Saw them at Bahston Gahdon back in the day but now they are regulars (despite the loss) here on The Cape.

Marshall Tucker did the Barnstable Fair a few years ago but while the music was great, sadly, their lead singer (Doug Gray) doesn’t have the pipes he once had … too bad.
I thought Charlie Daniels only had one hit?

Check this hilarious Greece story out…
Unbelievable.
___________
that’s why The Greatest Hits album is classic … same song both sides.
In the top 40 CHR world he three hits and in the classic rock AOR world one hit. His music is very regional, obviously.
I don’t think any of his hits are likely to be played today on a “mainstream” radio station that did a ’70s format, unless the station is south of the Mason Dixon line.
I think “The south’s gonna do it again” has a great hit record sound, but today too many people will focus on political correctness and not be able to enjoy it as a fun production.
As far as novelty records go, the 70’s had many, including Daniels’ “Uneasy rider”. I would rather hear “The streak” or “My ding a ling”.
some typos, sorry. My A game requires two cups of coffee.
Jake – Any thoughts on IAG?! Don’t recall you mentioning it in awhile. Just chops in a $5 range, but over $23 ….
Still like IAG, and when it stops consolidating it will leap. I’m going to do a chart on AGQ this weekend, and maybe I’ll throw IAG in there as well.

Thank you, Jake. I can’t believe your timing in the PM market. It’s been uncanny.
Ed Steer wrote this in his daily letter, and wanted to share it with all you EXK buyers.
“As you can imagine, I get a fair amount of material in my in-box on a daily basis. One of the things that caught my attention was this announcement by Endeavour Silver Corp. It was tucked away in their financial and operating results and unaudited financial statements for the Third Quarter of 2011…that were just released yesterday. Here’s the pertinent paragraph…
“Management elected to not to sell all the silver and gold produced during the 3rd quarter due to the falling precious metal prices. As a result, precious metals held in inventory at quarter-end [were] 270,536 ounces of silver and 2,420 ounces of gold. Given that silver and gold prices are already rebounding in the 4th quarter, these inventories should substantially enhance our future financial results when sold.”
I salute them for this…and I hope they continue to add more silver to their stockpile on a quarterly basis until the silver price are allowed to rise to something resembling free-market pricing…which is many multiples of what it’s currently selling for. I hope this idea gains traction with other silver companies as well, as it doesn’t hurt the bottom line of any company that does it…and it doesn’t have to be a lot of silver, either. Up to five percent of physical silver production tucked away for a rainy day will sit well with all shareholders. My congratulations to Endeavour Silver Corp. for leading the way.”
Thanks for that. I’d rather be hording silver than cash, myself if I were a PM miner.
Certainly Proctor & Gamble wouldn’t sell it’s soap at cheaper than market pricing.

Should read *I* wanted to share it.
And I could just kick my self for not adding more. I’m so stupidly stubborn sometimes.
I have been adding to my GPL, and PZG. I should have been adding to EXK instead of buying HL, though. I just can’t give up on Hecla for some reason. 🙁
