Oz Will Abide!

dude
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Just a brief word tonight my friends, as I am exhausted. I finally flew home this evening after braving multiple funnel clouds in the Mitten State, and what would you know…….?

We had a bit of a shaky landing with lots of crosswinds, and I just chalked that up to a stormy afternoon in the Big Lou, until we taxied to a stop and got an unusual send off from the stewardess.  Oddly, she urged us to,

“Please GTFO the plane as quickly and quietly as possible…”

Not being used to such (blatant) rude treatment from Delta, I grew suspicious.  Surely enough, when I stepped out of the gate doorway after deplaning, I heard the sirens.   What’s more, I saw a slowly rotating black cloud positioned right on top of our plane.   It continued to rotate for some ten minutes after our departure, before finally dissipating.

The community got some Tornado, however, and got it good.

In the PM market, we got some moves to resistance, which I was expecting.  What was positive, however, was the strong move of many golds, including my beloved ANV and AAU, respectively.

Tomorrow is more ‘wait and see’ like yesterday morning’s action was, so let’s not lose the farm reaching here. I am not ready to give the dollar any credit, like some.

Something’s coming.  I’m holding tight and eating sammitch.

So thankful you got home safe to your family. A wonderful witness of Proverbs 91 over your life. Hope you can take at least one day off now to just breathe, hug your wife and kids and ponder what you saw. GB Jake.

sure, Billy was telling ya … in 1951 http://theyfly.com/lost/sfath.prophecies.1951.htm

        20. Not only wars, terror, destruction and annihilation with thousand-fold deaths and hundreds of thousands of murdered people will mark the future but also a monstrous overpopulation will be to blame as all natural laws will get thrown out of kilter.

        21. Through the gilt of the people, all storms will assume increasing and more violent forms, such as hail storms, blizzards and flooding rains, as however also the ozone-layer will become very dangerously damaged.

        22. Monstrous deluges will belong ever more to the order of the day, because through the overpopulation, the forest wetlands and swampy plains will become altered in function to become residential areas, whereby the wild waters of the flooding rain will find their way into the houses of the people because they can no longer escape into uninhabited wetland areas.

        23. Landslides and avalanches, as well as earthquakes and seaquakes as well as every kind of storms will prevail; gales and typhoons, hurricanes and tornados will increase ever more in their numbers and will become ever more violent and destructive.

        24. And also therewith overpopulation will bear the guilt, because overpopulation will become monstrously negative and will thereby give rise to an unnatural climate change that in only one decade from today will already begin to effect the world very detrimentally.

        25. The monstrous mass and weight of the cities and villages continuously stress the inner structures of the Earth more and more through which the tectonic plates will be adversely affected, inevitably leading to increasing tectonic displacements and faults, through which immense tremors will be evoked world-wide, whereby finally the deaths will go into the hundreds of thousands and into the millions.

        26. And these tremors also have influences on the Earth’s entire volcanic activity, consequently, also the volcanoes that are multiply connected together world-wide that will become ever more frequently and more destructively active.

        27. That will also demand many human lives, indeed, especially in those areas where unreasonably, habitations are built too closely to volcanoes, as is also the case with beaches by oceans, by great rivers and seas, where the immediate shorelines are built up, which, through storm waves and tsunamis, will be flooded in violent measure and will demand very many human lives.

        28. Yet were that not enough, because through the continually growing overpopulation that already in 50 years will have increased to over six billion, as is predicted, many monstrous and insoluble problems will become apparent.

        29. Famines will increase, while old illnesses, believed to be eradicated, will return.

        44. Much more will be brought about with the growing overpopulation, which is fundamentally the actual source of all evil things of the future, because the greater the overpopulation becomes, the greater the problems originating from it will become.

        47. If the world and its humanity are thus ruined, then it is the Earth human himself who is the originator, whereby he creates the real cause of it by propelling his overpopulation into ever increasing numbers.

        49. Through the guilt of the human being, through his overpopulation, through his megalomania, through his unreasonableness and high-handedness, he challenges all the powers of nature, that, together with the Earth, revolt, and defend themselves against the degenerating machinations of the Earth human.

I’m sure the climate is changing. I’m sure it has been changing since the origin of the planet. I’m also sure humans have very little, if any impact on climate change. The climate will contnue to change after humans are no longer of this world. I’m positive money is being wated on this foolishness because of dolts like you.
I’m sure you disagree but then again, you believe in flying saucers, Billy Meier’s BS, tooth fairies and Santa Claus. That is why I put you on the ‘pay no mind’ list.

                      2010 – 2011: Earth’s most extreme weather since 1816?

                      By Dr. Jeff Masters
Published: 4:00 PM GMT on June 24, 2011
Every year extraordinary weather events rock the Earth. Records that have stood centuries are broken.

Human-caused climate change has fundamentally altered the atmosphere by adding more heat and moisture. Observations confirm that global atmospheric water vapor has increased by about 4% since 1970, which is what theory says should have happened given the observed 0.5°C (0.9°F) warming of the planet’s oceans during the same period. Shifts of this magnitude are capable of significantly affecting the path and strength of the jet stream, behavior of the planet’s monsoons, and paths of rain and snow-bearing weather systems. For example, the average position of the jet stream retreated poleward 270 miles (435 km) during a 22-year period ending in 2001, in line with predictions from climate models. A naturally extreme year, when embedded in such a changed atmosphere, is capable of causing dramatic, unprecedented extremes like we observed during 2010 and 2011. That’s the best theory I have to explain the extreme weather events of 2010 and 2011–natural extremes of El Niño, La Niña and other natural weather patterns combined with significant shifts in atmospheric circulation and the extra heat and atmospheric moisture due to human-caused climate change to create an extraordinary period of extreme weather. However, I don’t believe that years like 2010 and 2011 will become the “new normal” in the coming decade. Many of the flood disasters in 2010 – 2011 were undoubtedly heavily influenced by the strong El Niño and La Niña events that occurred, and we’re due for a few quiet years without a strong El Niño or La Niña. There’s also the possibility that a major volcanic eruption in the tropics or a significant quiet period on the sun could help cool the climate for a few years, cutting down on heat and flooding extremes (though major eruptions tend to increase drought.) But the ever-increasing amounts of heat-trapping gases humans are emitting into the air puts tremendous pressure on the climate system to shift to a new, radically different, warmer state, and the extreme weather of 2010 – 2011 suggests that the transition is already well underway. A warmer planet has more energy to power stronger storms, hotter heat waves, more intense droughts, heavier flooding rains, and record glacier melt that will drive accelerating sea level rise. I expect that by 20 – 30 years from now, extreme weather years like we witnessed in 2010 will become the new normal.

Finally, I’ll leave you with a quote from Dr. Ricky Rood’s climate change blog, in his recent post,Changing the Conversation: Extreme Weather and Climate: “Given that greenhouse gases are well known to hold energy close to the Earth, those who deny a human-caused impact on weather need to pose a viable mechanism of how the Earth can hold in more energy and the weather not be changed. Think about it.”

Douchey-fruit – I know you’re an anonymous interweb douchebag (in florida?) but let’s pretend we’re in a civilized convo. For a monent, forget what you’ve been led to believe about greenhouse gasses by the snake-oil salesmaen of our generation. Forget about the cyclical warming and cooling that has been scientifically proven to have taken place during the earth’s relative short history. Forget about the dinosaurs that have come and gone and the most recent ice ages and subsequent warming. Forget about the more recent diagnostic proof that the earth is entering a cooling stage.
Now, take the dick out of your mouth and say ahhhhhh.

DMG, I’m not interested in the silly battles you wage with all, have waged for all your life, and will continue to wage, with your unintellect, unknowledge, unpeace, unwisdom, disharmony, anger, …. nor do I have to toss back at you your juvenile, laughable name calling thing, as if that will cure you of what ails you.

If what you think and believe is erroneous, you will bear the consequences. Only the truth is serviceable/effective. All else will lead to failure/unsuccess. Your name calling and illogic will not help you when the rubber meets the road.

Whoever disputes the truth, that person fervently suggests himself as a liar.

DMG, you are a liar. Your lies have been, are and will be, your problem; even as you wish to bring others over to your side and your state of confusion and certain misery to come.

20 until just before the natural laws out of kilter part is fine. The geological record clearly defines 21, 22,23,24 as complete bullshit (if you think you’ve seen a bad volcano/tsunami/storm, the geological record can point to thousands that have been worse). 25. Affecting tectonic isostasy through moving a little concrete around. ROFL. That one was the funniest. 27. Idiots always have and always will build in areas that have clear geological hazards. 28. I won’t grant you 28 because it is too vague to mean anything. 29. Yeah, maybe. Famines are caused by cyclic weather patterns (crop failure was a large factor in the fall of the Roman empire, and again during the Maunder minimum for examples) What’s his point? And what illnesses? Consumption? 44. Vague and wrong. 47. I disagree with his premise. 49. Consious embattled Gaia? wtf does 49 mean? The only environmental concern that I have, and fully support, is the conservation of sensitive and unique ecosystems and species. The rest (CO2 alarmist bullshit) is merely a political/banking class conspiracy to control and tax the wealthier and more productive nations. So you know, I used to teach a university course entitled “The Geological Record of Global Climate Change”.

I know a lot more about the topic than you do if you believe those points. Google Arkstorm. Yellowstone caldera eruptions, Kimberlites, manhatten hurricanes to get a very general impression. I am an expert in sedimentary systems (in order to find oil and gas). ANY sedimentologist can talk to you about storms, earthquakes, and volcanoes that were worse in the past, than anything we’ve seen in the last few thousand years.

I presume this guy Jeff Masters might know even more than you, go2mars:

“Where will Earth’s climate go from here?
The pace of extreme weather events has remained remarkably high during 2011, giving rise to the question–is the “Global Weirding” of 2010 and 2011 the new normal? Has human-caused climate change destabilized the climate, bringing these extreme, unprecedented weather events? Any one of the extreme weather events of 2010 or 2011 could have occurred naturally sometime during the past 1,000 years. But it is highly improbable that the remarkable extreme weather events of 2010 and 2011 could have all happened in such a short period of time without some powerful climate-altering force at work. The best science we have right now maintains that human-caused emissions of heat-trapping gases like CO2 are the most likely cause of such a climate-altering force.

Human-caused climate change has fundamentally altered the atmosphere by adding more heat and moisture. “

Again, asshat, you presune to know what you’re talking about.

Seriously, Jeff Masters? “Doctor” Jeff has a Phd in Meterology. That and $10 will get you a reach-around on Chrstopher Street.

“A read-through of Masters’ biography on his oh-so cool blog indicates that he has a Ph.D. degree in meteorology. But the real question is, Is that enough to make him a qualified source on a
supposed Snowpocalypse, global warming connection? I don’t know, but it seems awfully fishy to me that he’s not a climatologist, as in “climate scientist,” as in the branch of science called climatology, which is more authoritative concerning global warming (climate change) analysis since it deals with weather conditions over a period of time. Masters is a mere meteorologist; meteorology is a study which concerns itself with forecasting weather patterns. In my opinion, the difference between the two distinctions of study is great, in fact, too great for him to be considered an authority here as the liberal sources would like you to believe, however.”

                Thank you for introducing rationality.

Imagine mixing up post-modern emotionalist eco-claptrap with a life that actually transformed the world?

Mind boggling. Go back to the Judeo, Bruce… leave the Raelian scheiss to the kooks.

another nice try but not really with the straw man schtick, Jake …. Rael is a clown

you kidding about Judeo, I hope? yeah, you aren’t .. there is too much chaff in there, not enough wheat

ie, ‘ they’ left this little tidibit out of the “judeo’ .. from your man, his bad self

“Truly, they shall make a cult from my real human existence that will result in great harm. They still see in me only the human being I really am, but soon they will turn me into something slanderous and as being equal to Creation.
Truly, I foresee these events of the future but cannot change them even though I resist them.”

Just to be clear here– This is Christ speaking AS an alien that talks to Swiss Eco-Kooks, or Christ speaking TO an alien who speaks to Swiss eco-kooks?

Just want to make sure we have the proper provenance down straight, here.

There was no one named Christ, therefore your questions are moot; neither is there some Swiss Eco-Kooks speaking to an imaginary deity named Christ

what was his real name, why was his name changed and who changed it?

                      Hint: Isaiah 7:14 &/or Matthew 1:23

Seriously, the dumbest move ever by an increasingly desperate — and clueless — Obama administration.

There’s PLENTY of supply out there, and an attempt to manipulate prices — the statists’ most cherished tool — looks just as foolish here as it does when that fat idiot makes similar attempts down in Venezuela.

Seriously, there should be a law against allowing Democrats political power. Or at least an IQ test. They are just too dangerous in the saddle.

You don’t really believe that the price of oil was being set by the free market of S&D do you? If the Saudi’s couldn’t break the hedgies with oversupply then releasing the SPR won’t do it either but puts against all that oil in the futes will wreak havoc. So price manipulation by govt (nothing new) is unacceptable, but by Hedge Funds is acceptable per your conservative perspective? You must have forgotten when that great GOP POTUS Richard Nixon enacted a wage & price freeze to fight inflation … was it ok then, after all, Nixon was a Republican …. flip flop flip flop.

There is a huge difference between speculation and manipulation. Manipulation is always counterproductive and requires the manipulator to have a certain privilege or power. Speculation is actually a productive endeavor that helps with the price discovery process. Please read you some Murray Rothbard as he proved this in his “Man state economy” masterpiece.

I take the view that what we have been witnessing is manipulation in the oil markets by hedge funds laying off cheap dollars for real inflatable commodities for their privileged and/or powerful clients. With supplies at all time highs, tankers filled to the brim and anchored off shore awaiting higher futures prices and more demand from emerging nations, a threat to produce more by Saudi Arabia and no break in prices, I’d call that manipulation and not speculation. Oh yeah, there’s a threat of war in the middle east I suppose but what about the world economic slow down? Fuck the elitists and their hedge funds!

You know you are edging into laughbable bullshit territory when you feel like you’ve got to introduce Marxist dialogue into the picture.

Traders are traders, if one starts to get an edge, they are not going to collude with others so they can “share it.” That’s just rat brained stupid. They are going to try to eff each other out of the spread as fast as they can. That’s simple economics.

To believe in insipid conspiracy theories regarding the single most liquid commodity in the world is almost as dumb as the desperate economic illiterate, Obama, releasing STRATEGIC fund oil in order to try to knock down the prices.

              Idiots abound.

Obama has been slowly trading out the strategic reserve from sweet for sour already, even though the US doesn’t have enough sour refining capacity to make that much sour a “strategic reserve”. It nets the US money in the short term, in an off balance-sheet way. It still looks like there are XX million barrels in reserve, but they aren’t readily useful, and they aren’t as valuable. This release of remaining sweet crude is a way to accelerate the process, because the strategic reserve will NOT be re-filled with sweet light crude. It will be refilled by sour heavy. Americans should be excitedly talking about this issue, but it is certainly not an area of focus for the MSM. Unsurprisingly.

You are either being an intentionally offensive idiot, or you have Alzheimers.

I probably bash Nixon at least once a month on this very blog for being a price fixer. (Do you read this blog, or just comment?) He started the fuck up that led to the Carter MisAdministration.

There are Republicans and there are Conservatives… in some cases there is no overlap. To think the gov’t — or anyone — can affect long term commodity prices is tomfoolery of the purest variety, no matter who is in power.

If it ever gets back down to $8 (now $13) I’ll post some info in the PG.

GTI is more of an industrial player related to steel furnaces. If you’re talking about the high tech version used for conductivity and as a fiber-carbon lightweight material in the nanotech world then GTI isn’t what you’re looking for.
