Ironic commentary from left-wack0 Ted Rall, circa November 2008.

Just a quick, drive-by Mac-10 gloat on some of these magnificent late summer calls, right in the middle of the doom-and-gloom apoplexy, I might add.
If I were gloating.
Which I am, to some extent. Just to review, SLW is still my favourite precious metal stock, but even I– with my already naturally large head– have to step back in awe and admiration at this ANV 200-day touch call.
If you missed it, don’t feel bad, as I made a much bigger deal of it amongst the refined moneyed gentlemen of The PPT. If they missed it, well, I blame the Monsieur, who hates l’or for some odd reason.
I only hope he does not feel the same about l’argent, and that he breaks from his stubborn bear-shitterishness soon, and joins the rest of the crewe in rich bloggy coin banquing.
And just in case you think the condition of my cup over-flowething is just a shiny metal condition, check out what this other Jacksonian has been doing as of late. Can you say BTFO, Mister ANDE?
And yes, that’s a $47.00 target… near term indeuuuuud!
Now stop being such a piker and join The PPT. We need more Precious Pride in that forum anyway. Why let old Hawaii Five-O and East Hampton Brucie get all the glory? That’s just unfairness, plain and simple.
Best to you all.

Excellent calls, Jake. You absolutely nailed the precious metals rally the past few weeks.
As an observation only, I would think with your political perspective, you would be more of the “Freedom Fries” type, than a Francophile.
I am a man of many faces, mon ami.
In truth, I wish I knew more Italian. That’s a beautiful language.
____________
That is my area. Lived and worked in Italy many a time. One of my undergrad majors.
Ah, lucky man. What work did you do there? Hit man stuff?
I think I may move to Italy some day. It’s a latter day dream, like my dreams of moving to the South when I was a kid in Lawn Guyland.

Interned at law firms for part of the summers in law school. One in Bologna, other in Milano.
Been to Sicily. Actually, went to the village of Corleone on Good Friday as an undergrad studying abroad. Sicilians are actually the nicest people in the world, providing you don’t screw them over. In which case, run for the ferry to take you back to Calabria.
LOL. Awesome. Can’t believe you came back.

Nice work Jake. Sometimes you have to gloat… and since we are in the gloating mood, I’ve been killing it this month too.
The September Surge has been most enjoyable.
You have been Bullish for sure, bullish.
Will you keep the nomme de guerre if you go bearish, for the ironic affect?
_____________
Never will I change the name. Bullish is a state of mind… Whether I’m long or short I’ll always be Bullish
You need to get yourself an avatar. You’ve been here long enough.

Moral of the story …. Jake better tame his PM success soon or he too could end up on CNBC!
BWAHAHAHAHA ………..
Jake, I would like to try a trade in ANDE. If the market pulls back in the next few days, would this name go down as well? Just hope to get a good entry point. Thanks.
It should test that breakout point, I’d think.
___________
Maybe I’ll try that one out too. Everything else is working like a charm!
Perfect call on ANV.
Jake props on a fantastic call, of epic norse saga proportions.
that’s Amagansett Brucie .. 😉
nice calls, Mr Gint
Thanks, Brothas Danny and Bruce. I’m really just trying to effect a pullback, ovah heah.

Well, that backfired 🙂
All-time high overnight.
If this comment thread was a public street and I was a cop, I’d throw you all in jail.
The Fly misses nothing, ha, ha.
Monsieur le Gendarme?

Learning a foreign language is one of the bonus points about reading iBC.
Unfortunately it has something to do with the French.
The French have quieted down and learned their place. They are not that bad anymore. Save in Paris, where they will always suck.
________
Just checked my account. Unrealized gains in SLW are 13%. Pikerish in $, but I’m still trying to get my bearings without pulling any putz moves. I’ve been stalking ANDE for a while, but haven’t found the right time to jump in the kiddie pool.
You need a good avatar too. Maybe Howard the Duck.
____
Kenai got the best duck/gold avatar … go for the duck that laid the golden eggs in Jack & the Beanstalk. A good alternative though somewhat gay and could qualify you for the “fag box.” You make the call.
Never mind … I’m approaching the age limitation for this here blog and it’s starting to show with my confusion of a goose for a duck …. WTF!
Another try:

Aw shucks, thx Teahouse!
I was going to add my angry silver duck hood ornament that I’m using inside PPT, but don’t remember how to setup
Pretty sure the instructions are on the home page. All you need to do is put in an email address I’m pretty sure.

test of the great silver duck
Got ‘im! Sweet! He is now our official mascot.

Great job Jake! Couple of questions though…whats up with the underperformance in RGLD and IAG? With bullion and the mining indices hitting eyes, little surprised at the underperformance by these two names.
Wow, I really butchered that. Meant to say the Miner ETFs (GDX, GDXJ) and bullion at or hitting new highs…but IAG and RGLD seem to be underperforming. Any thoughts? I hear investors weren’t too happy with IAG’s choice of a oil & gas executive to be the new CEO…any thoughts on that and on RGLD?
These things tend to run in cycles, even the hot ones. ANV had a miserable early summer, hit it’s 200 day and is now blasting off to Mars. I expect IAG will do the same when it gets it’s act together, and have in fact bought some December calls to add to my egregious horde.
RGLD will soon break above $50 for good, probably when I finally add the final shares to get to my goal of 6k. I started buying this stock almost ten years ago, at under $4. It, like SLW, has the greatest leverage to an expanding price of gold. Enough said.
