Trader notes for the week:
What a week. Once again, stocks fell hard, and today, the Vix hit 29.44. This is great! I think that super bounce is coming soon. I found some great stocks this week, and if you remember Solomon’s Portfolio, it’s doing quite well… my GG is up almost 10% in less than a week. I have some gold charts here. In particular, AUY and NEM are doing well… AUY is up 6.88% today.

Oil had that little sell-off everyone was waiting for… it dropped like 12 bucks or something, I don’t know, and that sent my energy stocks down hard. Well, as you can see in my holdings, most of them came back. Sweet.

Finally, I think if you day trade, go for SKF, long or short… I like short better, since there is a ton of imbalance. I did quite well day-trading SKF on the short side, and SQM on the long side… those two trades made me hit my goal for July already, so I probably won’t make that many trades. Make sure you all check out zstock’s blog for some good picks, especially if you’re tracking ICE’s troubles. Also visit Market Speculator for some good market analysis, I added him to my blog-roll.
