Good morning! Schools out!
Let’s trade. Lol.
SOEN – still going
DVAX…up up and away..?
If anybody can get a borrow on ISRL, you have to short this pig. Went up off of Russell rebalance from $40-125. Anything above $110 is a steal, it’ll be $80 by mid July. I tried shorting in the 120’s friday after the close to no avail.
I wish i could jump on board, broker cant get a borrow.
in PODD at 7.19
Dunno about DVAX, but keeping a watch on DYAX today
CKSW is up
EDGR…power cross..could spike
LEA getting squeezed
Where’s CA? Still recovering from the show? Lol.
Pissant – try shorting DDRX and ZN. No luck here.
Bought ARM $4.15
Retox, you have a twitter ID? Would love to follow your ES trades live on twitter. I think if you add a $ sign in front of ES it should go straight to twitter under new format.
CA,
what’s your target on ARM?
PARD
CA,
Thoughts on JAZZ on the daily?
ARM – $4.40ish, if there’s a full-scale b/o, then $4.80-5.
JAZZ is messy. No opinion.
Bought FOE $2.80
CA – opinion on LVLT?
I think PODD has the legs for the breakout.
tret,
That last ES move was beautiful… perfect bounce off of 911.50 – a support level I added from Friday.
I never really intended to post ES trades live forever. I started when Hammy asked if TA works on indices vs. individual stocks and I thought it would answer his question and add to the overall theme of CA’s blog (TA works).
I somewhat think that, while it adds value, it also detracts from the overall blog because it has nothing to do (directly) with the BTFO plays. The chart patterns are the same and ES usually sets up a few times a day so it does lend itself well to the learning process (and trading).
Otherwise, I’m not sure all of the calls would be quick enough here or on Twitter. It should be used, with a review of a live 1 minute chart or my posted trades at the end of the day to learn to play chart patterns in real time but probably not to follow live trades.
I don’t know. I’ll think about it??
No problem retox. There’s a whole futures room in stocktwits, if you’re ever interested in trading in a group, join up.
tret, who are you? What’s your twitter ID?
FUQI, CAR, and VVTV looking good!
URRE b/o
Tret,
Here was my first trade. About once a day you are gifted with a set-up like this that is almost guaranteed to work.
It started with a downward channel on moderate volume reaches a sticky area where it starts to pick up volume on the upside moves.
Then a failed attempt to make a lower low.
Then a breakout with pretty good volume.
Then a pause at the prev day high.
Then a nice breakout with great volume.
Then a move to a resistance area.
You will notice that I only took 2 points out of this – that is actually my trading plan. I want the middle of the trend and I want highly reliable trades only. I often lock in profit when volume gets really hot or when I pick up a couple of points.
More aggressive traders would have been in much earlier and or stayed later but that’s just not me.

This is easier (and harder) than it looks.
Learn all of the chart patterns and watch them work in real time until you know the patterns really well. Add in previous day highs, lows, support, resistance, and start to watch how the patterns develop around those levels. Most important, if a pattern fails, cut the trade no matter what!
ARM is likely moving up on news coming by tomorrow. There is a $5 billion contract for 5, 244 armored trucks to be announced by the Pentagon by July 1—-and ARM supplies the suspension and braking systems to 4 of the 5 final contenders.
ES in a continuation pattern – still developing.
Rectangle good.
Matt, where did you get that stat from? A link would be awesome. Thanks!
On an upside break from this ES pattern I want 924.50 – 924.75.
CA, do you have an opinion on THC?
FOCUS: DEFENSE INDUSTRY
REPORTER’S NOTEBOOK: Vehicle contract spreads benefits
By Chad Halcom
The rising contract value of the all-terrain Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicle, or M-ATV, should buoy several local companies — regardless of who steers.
The Pentagon’s Joint Requirement Oversight Council revealed earlier this month that the M-ATV program would call for 5,244 vehicles in the production award. That’s up from the estimated 2,080 vehicles given to contractors late last year and likely raises the contract value from nearly $3 billion to well above $5 billion.
The production phase is expected to begin this week on the M-ATV, an off-road vehicle variant of the conventional MRAPs that were heavily deployed in Iraq and wrapped up production last year. The M-ATV is lighter and better suited to the rugged off-road terrain of Afghanistan than conventional MRAPs.
Well-positioned on M-ATV work is Troy-based ArvinMeritor Inc., a supplier on four of the project’s five competing bidders. Chris Kete, vice president of specialty products at ArvinMeritor, said much of the engineering and development work on M-ATV is done in Michigan, but assembly work is expected to be done in North Carolina.
“There’s also a supply base out there for our portion of the work, and a great deal if not a majority of that work would be done in Michigan,” he said. ArvinMeritor supplies suspension, braking or other systems to bidders Force Dynamics Inc., the joint venture of Sterling Heights-based General Dynamics Land Systems and Ladson, S.C.-based Force Protection Inc.; BAE Systems’
U.S. Combat Systems division in Sterling Heights and Santa Clara, Calif.; BAE’s Global Tactical Systems division in Sealy, Texas; and Illinois-based Navistar International Corp.

Thanks matt.. a quick shout out to CA and Retox and everyone else that posts their trades/ trade ideas on here.. They are much appreciated! I’m new to the game and it is good to see what to watch for. Thanks!
ES – will TRY to buy the bottom of the rectangle (921.25) instead of the breakout. Would put a stop at 920.75.
We do have a few new people here.
CA, what do you think about JADE?
it may get a boost from FUQI’s rise today.
CA – another awesome call with ARM!
CEVA
SPX imminent
JADE – no opinion
ES wants to run but I couldn’t bring myself to buy the BO – I wanted the bottom of the pattern for more safety – lots of resistance – or should I say reluctance…
NAVR, RAD, b/o’s
Sold half ARM $4.49
SOEN just hit my .44 PT from Friday (in at .33 Friday at open).
Took half off at .44 +33%
Holding the rest for .47
CA, what you think of AHD on the daily,
Appreciate your work as always…

Sold other ARM $4.40
Sold FOE $2.86
The next move will be fun – market is a coiled spring today.
Busy day for me. Haven’t done much trading, but did sell EGLE on the open at 5.24, +.26. Still holding BORL which has done skadoosh today, SPPI and PALM.
CA – nice call on ARM
Retox – very nice on SOEN
Good luck…back to my day job.
can Obama just STFU for one freaking day…go bang ur skank butt ugly bitch wife….just stay home and shut up you socialist jackass…
AMLN, 50% retrace of Fri’s breakout.
Yes AMLN getting ready for the next leg up…
We’re either setting up to blast through SPX 930 (ES 926) or we are at the top of the right shoulder of an SPX H&S.
Anybody want to predict?
clarify – SPX H&S on a 1 day chart (not intraday)…
I will be starting a premium service sponsored by iBC. It will be only for the most serious, committed, and capitalized traders in need of immediate improvement.
It will be a 2-day live 1-on-1 training ‘bootcamp’ where I will individually train a candidate on everything that I know and exactly how I do things at their own residence. The ideal candidates are those that seek help NOW and those that want to exponentially shorten their learning curve.
This program will be the costliest program offered on iBC, and no pikers will be accepted.
The training will consist of:
-Help with all things technical analysis
-Long/short strategies, including my proprietary strategies
-Trading principles/psychological conditioning
-Live analysis of at least 1,000 charts, real-time and current
-Candlestick charting, including the most advanced and expert forms of Renko and Kagi
-Give you my extensive PDF library (2.5GB, approx. 1,250 files)
-Share my proprietary Earnings Trading System
-Share the tools that I use to find my trades for the day/week
-2 training manuals in print
-And much, much more…
I will be accepting 2 people per month, or 12 for this year. Absolute priority goes to those who contribute the most on my blog.
More on this later as I hammer out all of the details.
I predict blast through SPX 930 – need to get this thing high to suck up the last minute quarterly rebalancing window dressing money inflows at the highest price.
ES descending triangle forming 1 minute chart – watching
CA,
THAT IS FUCKING GOLDEN!!!!
CA – whats that private tutoring gonna run, ballpark?
ES short 921.75
retox – I was worried about that forming. think i’d rather not predict and stay mostly cash meanwhile.
Still I’m checking out ANCI as a swing setup. Near its 52-wk low, and got crushed on lowering guidance. Plus, Gio picked it out.
Also maybe MEA, as it may ride Schnitzer tomorrow.
I’d like to hear some opinions.
Bought PACR $1.96
Damn CA, that would be one hell of a session.
thoughts on CRGN daily?
HAFC!
ES
testing me today – tough tape – hung on for the run…

good luck to all traders out there.
ES covered 921 +.75
CRGN is good, I think. I’m watching it.

CA -thoughts on the daily for NAVR? Thx.
Very cool about the 1 on 1 training. Looking forward to seeing more details. Would you travel outside the US for this?
Never mind – just logged into stocktwits. Hope you caught that move. I didn’t pull the trigger.
Val,
I read all those articles recently and they really helped.
CA,
Thx
NAVR is great. I mentioned on twitter a few times. It is getting extended a bit.
Outside the US? hmmmmmmmmmm…don’t think time will be best used.
CA. where will you host the training boot camp? or is it online??
I figured as much but you could add to your ‘pet’ collection by traveling to where I live…as those bad boys roam freely.
MVIS basing?
chart addict,
it is kind of you to take the time to respond and help, thank you. i’m new but i am doing ok, but just on gut and that’s not enough, especially in this market.
good luck to you,
val
CTIC trying to blast off
Putting a feeler out in CAR, short small @ 5.70… will add on if it goes negative on the day.
At the candidate’s residence. I have to download my files and programs onto their computer, save bookmark lists. I have to teach how some of this stuff works. And my manuals will be in print ONLY.
SWME up 1,300% wtf…
Lots-O-people watching the possible H&S and the 200 day on SPX & DJX on the 1 day chart.
IF you believe in the PPT / GS control of the markets, the close today / futures tonight, & tomorrow would be the time to break that pattern. Holiday week grind up?
Conspiracy theory anyone?
Watching TEN – he daily chart looks ok to me.
Watching TEN – the daily chart looks ok to me.
It does feel like that pattern is so widely watched that we’ll need one last distributionist, pessimist-killing spike up before we go down – if we go down …this 50% retrace has been too perfect.
Hey CA,
Thanks for all your hardwork.
AKRX ready for b/o?
This smells like a good close.
AKRX, what a fucker
Bought OCNF $1.50
Okay. Thanks.
In OCNF with you.
hey CA,
you still daytrading all these stocks? thinking of holding any swings yet?
Hopefully, PACR and OCNF
RJET!
Bought PCBC $2.27 – spec play
CA, FLML:
Stock basing since April; broke out Friday with volume and held today. Opinion?
Today was a great refresher lesson in wanting more from the market than it was willing to give. I kept expecting a great set-up into the close but never saw it.
We basically had a whole bunch of chopping around the 200 day which made for a very tough tape.
2 trades today +2.75
http://s699.photobucket.com/albums/vv352/retox13/?action=view¤t=esjune29.jpg&newest=1
FLML = too thin, but chart is good. Maybe vol will come in, but who knows.

Never expect anything.
retox- I appreciate hearing about the ES trades. Thanks
CA,
What do you think the breakout number for SPX is for us to be out of this consolidation period?
Your three charts are making me think it could be 930, 940 or even 950.
Am I reading this wrong?
LSI – watch tomorrow
LSI has been selected by a major petroleum/convenience store
retailer to upgrade and re-image its canopy lighting, site lights,
and security lighting on a nationwide basis utilizing LSI’s
recently introduced solid-state LED Crossover(r) lighting fixtures.
In addition, LSI’s graphics division will retrofit exterior fascia
graphics lighting using LED technology for the convenience stores
as well as have responsibility for project management and
installation activities. The initial phase of this program will
involve the conversion of over 1,100 individual retail stores.
LSI believes this program represents the largest single national
conversion of conventional-to-LED based lighting ever undertaken.
Energy savings were a major motivation for this conversion program.
Work is already underway and revenues related to this new program
will favorably affect fiscal year 2010. Revenues for this phase
of the project are expected to be between $22 million and $23
million . Additional follow-on conversions for this customer’s
stores not included in the initial phase are also possible later
in fiscal years 2010 and 2011.
Also – above ES post should have typed 20 day (not 200 day).
LSI ind. ticker is LYTS

30% long/70% cash
I also post some b/o’s here and some on twitter. Just depends on which page I open up first.
Just out of curiosity, how old are you CA? I’ve been reading some of your articles in the past and you refer to having a fund by the time you were 21 and you started trading at 18.. also talked about not having a degree yet when you started the fund.. I’m assuming you still do not have a degree considering your amazing success as a trader.. is that accurate or no? I just recently turned 20 and am trying to get started in the market… I also have no degree.. I can’t begin to explain how much I appreciate all your time and effort you’ve put into your articles you post on here. They’ve helped me a ton in getting started with the right mindset. I wish I would be able to take your class when you started that.. but definitely would not be something I could afford at this point.. maybe in the future though.. Might be able to compensate you somewhat for how much you’ve helped. Thanks again!
Yes, I have dual degrees. I will be starting another one in Psychology this Fall. Degrees are irrelevant in trading. It’s the experience you gain over time that’s worth far more. I am 24 years old.
And, who are you? You must know me personally, and if not, where did you find out about me and my fund?
Nope, I wish I knew you personally. I just found that out from comments you have left on your previous posts.. I’ve only been trading for about 2 months now.. but I’ve spent a decent amount of time reading your posts and the comments you and other people have left on them. Some priceless information in them. And 24? wow.. what you’ve accomplished is amazing.. congrats.
scotia nostra,
thanks for the encouragement. you guys are great.
happy trading,
val
Hi CA,
your experience, time and patience with others is winning me over.
i wanted to know what you think about UTRM. there was some legal issues with it. i bought it and tripled and bought in again. it is at a low but has a good product coming out in about 60 days or so.
all the best,
