Why I love Enron O&G

Goldman says Oil is going to $20, Boone says $70, I say nobody knows. There are far too many exogenous variables to make any call on crude, Marc Rich (yes that Marc Rich) never tried to predict price. I do not care about EPS, I care about acreage, debt levels and lifting cost. $EOG has the largest acreage position in the Eagle Ford Shale play in South Texas. The Eagle Ford is superior to Marcellus etc. , because it is wetter (more oil than gas), decline curves are not as dramatic as Bakken Etc. , it has more discovery potential and it is less costly to frac. EOG has been drilling but not completing wells, so when the market does turn, they can ramp up production faster than any competitors. EOG has also been rumored as an acquisition target and is an excellent candidate. Go buy $CHK if you want a tax writeoff, buy $EOG if you want to make money.

First of all in the spirit of full disclosure I currently own $AMZN calls & $BABA puts. Jack Ma is a pitchman who makes Billy Mays look like Mother Teresa. If you believe any numbers this Gollum looking fake puts out then you deserve to be living under an overpass. All Jeff Bezos does is execute (plus his numbers are real), grow his business and kill all the competition ($M). All Jack Ma talks about is what he is going to do and opine on a quality of life that will never exist in  China. This is easy money, Bezos is Tom Brady, Ma is Jeff George.

Does anyone truly understand clinical trials, related abstracts and what the NPV of a drug in a phase one (for that matter two or three) trial will be? The answer is no and the new game in town is for ALGOS (aka a**holes) to take some very obscure press release from a Biotech (look at $INCY last week) and try to short it to zero. first of all before you panic and sell (or buy) find out what they said first, make a decision based on some bit of rational thinking and 1) run screaming for the exit or 2) back up the truck. as an important aside here , never fall in love with anything.
