This range is fucking key; another huge level is the 4070 area on the trasnportation index. If we can break that it could be LIGHTS OUT for the bears. Nothing special until we break the range on S&P or transports. Even with these futures still below yesterdays high.
trasnportation index very clean breakout here; if it can close the week above the 4080 area that would be huge for the bulls; go buy a railroad buffet style

Hey CA – I have noticed a lot of B/O trades fizzling recently. What do you make out this? Do you think the market is getting overbought?

Am I crazy for seeing today’s session as bullish? We hold 1100 on a crazy whipsaw day, very heavy volume, and ultimately print new closing highs on the NASDAQ and a couple of other key indices. Every time we break out of this range, we clear out some overhead supply. Also we hold the 20/50 day EMA’s and many indices are breaking out after 10-week pullbacks. To me, the long term picture actually looks fairly positive. It always looks pretty dark at major turning points, and I feel like this entire week may have been one of those events with the violent tape, failed breakouts, and heavy volume.
