Terrible Philly Fed Fans

_____________________

The market is acting like an obnoxious Philadelphia sports fan by rallying despite the weakest Philly Fed number in two years. When it comes to macroeconomic data and the stock market (as opposed to micro data such as earnings of the companies you own), it is the reaction that matters more than the actual numbers themselves. The true test of mettle for the bulls will come this afternoon, as we have seen plenty of rallies aggressively faded into the close over the past several weeks.

For now, though, a positive reaction to a negative headline is usually indicative that the sellers have exhausted themselves, if only for a few days.

When they tazered that guy it created quite the controversy among Phillies fans. Most were disappointed the cops didn’t shoot him and drag his lifeless body from the field.
