Rubio crushes in Florida, beating out upstart asshat infiltrator Charlie Crist, who will now have trouble getting elected emu-catcher in South Florida. Better yet, evil jerk Alan Grayson (D-FL), of Trader Caddy’s district, just went down by about 20 percentage points. He is now free to contract on as Keith Olbermann’s sidekick on Mess-NBC.
On the sad side of the ledger, Joe Manchin (D-WV) is being called for the win in West Virginia, taking on the Dead Klansman’s seat and retaining it for the Dems. This one hurts, as the GOP was hoping to take the whole Cap & Trade issue to the hoop in West Virginia. Manchin, wisely, noted the polls and quickly made a commercial showing him shooting the bill with a rifle, and thereby retained the seat. I scheiss you not.
The interesting point of the above win, however, is that Manchin– who is only elected to serve out the Klansman’s final two years — will have to run again in 2012,. It’s quite possible, therefore, that we can add him to the GOP roles anyway, as he will have to run anti-Obama in every Senate vote just to survive. Note well — Cap & Trade (an attack on coal dependent WV) and Healthcare have left Obama with a 29% approval rating in West Virginia.
Also, closer to the home of JakeGint, the horrid leftist John Yarmouth (D-KY) has retained his seat as well. I feel this is an unfortunate loss in a critical year, and the result of a good, but inexperienced opponent on the Rep side. Listen, Louisville (the bulk of KY-3) is a pretty liberal town, and also a union town, but we are not as liberal as this Obama lackey, this silver spoon plutocrat, Yarmouth. We will work hard to send him home with Obama in 2012.
The bonus, is that over the river, in Southern Indiana, Baron Hill (D-IN), went down in flames, after running a particularly nasty campaign full of ridiculous and expensive tv ads.
