10-15-2014 Trading Journal

The bull, apparently suffered from vertigo, fell over backward and then rolled down the hill.  After vomiting out yesterday’s digestion due to the spinning sensation, it felt a bit better and was able to crawl back up some.

SPY_Daily

It was an ugly day but yet a redeeming one as well.  The price stayed inside the tan rectangular box and was a green bar that reflected the tenacity of the bull.  There may still be hope for the bull.

I’d another fortunate day.  While $LRAD went down quite heavy in the day, it managed to come back to minimize the damage.

LRAD_daily

That was a very nice long-tail doji with price closing very near the 79 MA.  If price can take out the high of today bar, it will be a very powerful bullish reversal signal.  In other words, $LRAD may find its bottom today.

Meanwhile, three of my other stocks closed higher for the day despite a down market.

$ORBC had a spectacular price momentum today.  You would think that there were no large market down day just by looking at $ORBC daily chart.

ORBC_daily

Price obviously cut thru the 79 & 89 MA lines like hot knife thru butter. Imagine where price will go when the general market begins the bull run again.  Something is cooking at $ORBC and I don’t know what it is.  But I don’t mind it ’cause I’m always bullish with their brand new state-of-the-art M2M satellites they have launched with more to launch by year-end.

$DMRC continued on higher which was quite a performance in a down day considered it was a low float stock that was easy to be manipulated.

DMRC_daily

As you can see, price is approaching the 79 & 89 MA lines.

$CERS is finding its footing giving current virus and baterial infectious climate.

CERS_daily

Price actually filled the gap and bounced back up which is a good sign for the bull.

$AMRN was the second stock that was closed negative; but it was a small dip so I’m not going to put a chart on it.

Thanks to stellar performance from $ORBC and $DMRC, the gains were more than enough to offset $LRAD’s drawdown to still bring my port up by 0.5% higher.  YTD gain is now at 4.2%.

Current holdings:

LRAD, DMRC, ORBC, CERS, AMRN and 10.3% cash.

From my other account, I bought back a small (10% of original size) number of $IBIO for the bounce.  I also bought some $KNDI to test the water.  Both are in the black after closing bell.

My 2 cents.

The market really tried hard to rally; unfortunately, it went out of mojo to maintain altitude.

SPY_Daily

While price gave back most of the gain during the day, it at least closed higher.

Today, four out of five went up.  It was $LRAD that closed negative.

LRAD_daily

Nevertheless, price is finding support at the 79 & 89 MA lines.

$DMRC continued to head higher in anticipating of next week earning conference call.  Will the big retailers’ name be revealed?  Do they like the Digimarc barcode?

DMRC_daily

If price can take out the 79 & 89 MA lines to the upside, we are heading higher.  And if there are positive news regarding the big retailers, we will see a rocket launch soon due to the fact that $DMRC has a super small float of only 6+ million shares.

$ORBC also had a good day with strong momentum behind it.

ORBC_daily

Price broke out of its tight consolidation and approached the 79 & 89 MA lines to the touching point. Will it simply walk over the lines tomorrow?

$CERS had a spike up day.

CERS_daily

Price is now on top of the 79 & 89 MA lines.  If it can find support on these two lines, it will be in good shape.

Thanks to four stocks being up, my port, after offsetting $LRAD drawdown, still came out with a 1.4% gain for the day.  YTD gain is now at 3.7%.

Current holdings:

LRAD, DMRC, ORBC, CERS, AMRN and 10.3% cash.

My 2 cents.

Market opened higher but slipped on the banana peel once again…

SPY_Daily

Oop! Market landed on its butt; nevertheless, it was keen enough to land on the 89 MA and the trendlines.  As far as I’m concerned, today was a hiccup.

I’d been eyeing $CERS for awhile so I decided to buy when it opened higher.  Despite the immediate drawdown after I bought, I believe this stock is finding its bottom.

CERS_daily

However, I need to see price trades above the 79 & 89 MA lines and not below it.  Let’s see how it fairs this week.

I was surprised to see the strength behind $IBIO and enjoyed the strong rally.  However, being mindful of having gave back gains from $HYGS not too long ago, I decided to become more pro-active in watching the intra-day trend.  After price reached the high of $0.98, I began to watch the 5 & 15 MA lines in the 5 min. chart.  When the 5 crossed below the 15 MA, I started to unload to lock in profit.  When I did not see any meaningful bounce after selling 50% of my position, I began to sell more.  By the day end, I sold 80% of my original position.  Meanwhile, I noticed that $KNDI was rallying hard despite that other stocks were going down.  So, I took the opportunity to use the proceed from $IBIO to buy $KNDI when it started to correct a bit from the afternoon rally.

IBIO_daily

If you ignored the tall candle wick at the top, $IBIO actually had a strong day.  But the sell off after reaching $0.98 was too strong for me to ignore; so I took the opportunity to sell when the volume was there for me to hit the bids.

Seeing the strong afternoon rally in $KNDI, I felt the intuition to buy it.  The daily chart also looked good for a follow-up bounce.

KNDI_daily

The combination of the hooking up of 5 MA lines and the two oscillators below also gave me the confidence to buy.

$DMRC tenacity to stay positive all day was impressive.

DMRC_daily

Notice that the 79 & 89 MA lines are not that far away now.

Unfortunately, $LRAD did not fair well even though it had a great open.  However, I’m not worried about this one at all.

All in all, after adding two stocks today ($KNDI and $CERS), there were only two stocks down in my port.  Thanks to gains from $DMRC and $IBIO, they were enough to offset the drawdown from $LRAD and $CERS to give my port a nice gain of 0.7% with YTD gain at 4.9%.

Current holdings:

LRAD, DMRC, ORBC, KNDI, CERS, IBIO (100% invested/speculated)

My 2 cents.

After yesterday recovering bar, I was not surprised that market closed green today.

SPY_Daily

Price now closed above the 15 MA line. Looking good for a continuing bounce next week.

Today, I juggled my port a bit to make room for two new stocks: $STV and good old $CERS.

After watching the China Digital TV webcast presentation from Deutsche Bank, I’m getting an impression that this could be my next $KNDI.  I’d bought $KNDI from between $5 – $6 and rode it to $18.50 to lock in gain.  Only this time, I see a much stronger business model with a predictable growth factor; unlike $KNDI which is counting on the “potential” acceptance of its EV business model by multiple cities across the China.  I’m sure, in time, $KNDI will flourish; but the question is how long do we have to wait?

STV_daily

In today chart, it confirmed the support of $4.2x is holding by bouncing off yesterday recover bar. Thus, I bought a position with the remaining cash and to add more, I also sold  1/3 of my $AMRN position (at breakeven) to free up cash to buy more $STV.  Let’s see if it will continue the bounce next week.  I’ll be watching the $4.2x support.

I also revisited $CERS and like what I saw on the chart.

CERS_daily

While prices were trading below the 79 & 89 MA lines, I like the fact that it had bounced from the support at $3.7x that went back to May of this year.  Looking at the chart, I’ve to admit that the $3.7x support looks pretty solid.

$DMRC had a bounce that stopped the slide for the last four consecutive day.

DMRC_daily

Since this is a super-low float stock, it didn’t take much for any larger seller to create a landslide; on the other hand, it will be very difficult for the same seller to buy back the shares at this price ’cause any buying in size can easily jack this price back up to $34.xx in no times.  So, I’m not worried about the volatility here.

$ORBC is the star today.

ORBC_daily

Price took off probably in anticipation of next week SpaceX launching of its satellites.

Thanks to gain from $ORBC and $DMRC, my port gained back 0.7% today with YTD gain at 0.6%.

Current holdings:

LRAD, DMRC, ORBC, STV, KGJI, AMRN, NMRX, CERS (100% invested/speculated).

From my other account:

$FITX chart looked good today.

FITX_daily

It showed the floor at $0.4x is holding well.  Now, can we hear about the HC licensing decision please?  I wonder how much longer we have to wait to find out.  Nevertheless, I can’t help admiring the professional and high tech look of the current growing facility that is waiting for approval to grow.  I may consider adding more next week.

My 2 cents.

Market was holding its ground all day at the new high.

SPY_Daily

While the price movement was in small range, I considered it a great achievement that price did not fall back into the consolidation range. You could almost feel that the market is dipping its toe into the water on the new high territory.  Once it gets comfortable, price will have a high probability of continuing the rally from here.

After I read the earnings transcript on $AMRN, I believe that the business of Amarin may begin to grow from here.  Thus, I bought in when price was still down from the open.

AMRN_daily

While price gave back some gain at the close, we still have a bullish engulfment bar that may increase the probability of a bottom.

Seeing that $KNDI was opening higher, I added some more.

KNDI_daily

Oop! Price could not hold and collapse below $13.00.  ’cause I wasn’t watching the stock today, I did not have a chance to get out to cut losses quickly.  So I decided to give it a bit more time to bounce.  Price currently is still above the 5 & 15 MA lines; but if it breaks down below these two MA support lines, I may bail and cut losses.

I also added a bit more to $CERS since it bounced higher in the morning.

CERS_daily

But price closed on the negative at the end.  I’ll see where price is heading the next few days before deciding what to do with it.

$SEED spiked up today ’cause another company in China want to buy them out for $2.50.

seed_daily

I’m aiming for $SEED to reject the offer and ask for more.  Thus, I placed a good till cancel order to sell my lot at $2.99 just in case.  Without any approval from the Chinese gov’t regarding $SEED GM seeds, it is difficult to justify a price of over $3.00.

$KGJI also staged a nice bounce today.

KGJI_daily

Look at that tall green bar!  There is earnings coming out later this week; perhaps, people are expecting another positive quarter.  How many positive quarters will it take for investors to finally believe in the legitimacy of $KGJI?

$DDD continued its rally and bump its head against the $51 resistance line.

DDD_daily

As you can see, it went over $51 but failed to remain above it.  However, it still closed decently. Let’s see it tries again tomorrow.

$DMRC was down earlier but made a nice come back by the close.

DMRC_daily

See how the tail bounced off the 5 MA line and now closed above the 15 MA line?  The most important part is that price is still above the 79 & 89 MA lines which mean the overall trend is still bullish.

Despite falling price from $SVBL and $KNDI, gains from $DMRC, $SEED, $KGJI, and $DDD more than made up the losses and push my port another 1% higher. YTD gain is now 8.6%

Current holdings:

DMRC, LRAD, SVBL, SEED, DDD, KNDI, AMRN, KGJI, & CERS (100% invested/speculated)

From my other account:

While $FITX corrected some today, I’m basically still waiting for the Health Canada inspection result.  Some people are getting impatience and bailed due to some “alleged” zoning issue.  Oh well, this is speculation at its finest.

My 2 cents.

On Friday, I said sooner or later, the bull is going to break thru the resistance and make new high.  Well, it happened sooner than I thought, it made new high today. SPY_DailyLook at that green bar sticking out of the consolidation range.  Now, in order to confirm the continuing bull force, It is important that price does not fall back into the consolidation range inside this week.

$KNDI earnings report today convinced me to jump back in.  The fact that revenues increased over last year 1st Quarter meant that last quarter higher EV sales was no fluke. Although I bought after price spiked up, I was able to get some under $13; thus I am in the money on the trade so far.

KNDI_daily

The chart above looks like the bottom has a solid foundation. If the momentum can continue upward, I may add some more.

I also bought back some $CERS for the bounce.

CERS_daily

Today had a bounce; however, I don’t have a strong conviction on this one since their earnings were not so great the last two quarters.  The only catalyst left on this stock is the FDA approval of its product in the US.  In other words, I’ll be quick to cut losses if price turns around from here.

$DDD opened higher and I was thrilled.  So I added a bit more.

DDD_daily

Price climbed back above the support from last year October.  Let’s see if it can take out $51 resistance from here.

$DMRC continued to bounce higher.

DMRC_daily

Price closed above the 5 MA line today.  Let’s see if it can take out the 15 MA line tomorrow.

$LRAD also had a nice bounce today.

LRAD_daily

Price is now trading above the 89 XMA line and the 5 MA line has crossed over the 15 MA line.

All my stocks in my port went up today with $DMRC and $LRAD leading the biggest gain for the day. Thus, my port was up 3.3% today and YTD is now 7.6%.

Current holdings:

DMRC, LRAD, SVBL, DDD, SEED, KNDI, KGJI, CERS and 10% cash.

From my other account:

Still waiting for $FITX to announce result of Health Canada inspection.

My 2 cents.

The market bounced some today.

SPY_Daily

I like the fact that it closed above yesterday high. This confirmed the bullish stance especially when yesterday was a long tail bar which meant the bull came back strong from below and now it was able to hold its gain and some.

I added to $AMRN today anticipating a breakout of the $1.67 resistance.

AMRN_daily

It finally did but price closed right on the resistance level… wait a sec… it should be called support now.  Anyway, chart still looks good to me for a possible bounce to higher price.

I bought $NUGT back today ’cause price was bouncing after the open.

NUGT_daily

When price took out the opening range, I bought back a position. Let’s see if price can move higher from here.  I’m feeling that flight to precious metal is about to happen soon.

$DMRC moved higher today and is now near the resistance point of $34.3x.

DMRC_daily

Let’s see if it can take out that resistance tomorrow.

$CERS also bounced a bit higher.

CERS_daily

I like the fact that price is now closing above both the 5 & 20 MA lines.

Thanks to rallies from $DMRC, $SVBL, $AMRN, $SEED, and $CERS, gain was more than offset the losses from $LRAD and $APRI.  My port gained 1% today.

Current holdings:

DMRC, LRAD, SVBL, AMRN, SEED, CERS, APRI, NUGT and 6% cash.

From my other account:

$FITX had a correction today but that was again a non-issue except to wait for Health Canada to inspect and approve the license.

My 2 cents.

The market had a yoyo day… uip and down and up again.

SPY_Daily

Thanks goodness it closed on the higher side.  Today action meant that the bull hasn’t given up yet.  The uptrend is still on and the 79 & 89 MA lines are still trending higher.

Today, I continued to add to $AMRN position due to the fact that Pfizer is in take-over mood.  Not that it will buy out $AMRN but it may put other potential buyers in the mood.  I’m also thinking that monthly script may start to increase as a result of the partnership with Kowa Pharmaceuticals America Inc.

AMRN_daily

From the look of the chart, today bounce offsets Friday drop and keep the price above the support established back in late January. Let’s see if price can get back to the $2 area.

I also bought a starter position on $KNDI for the bounce after the collapse at the open.  The bounce was good but it didn’t last.  I was stopped out for losses since it was meant to be a swing trade instead of a buy and hold.

I also added to $APRI.  As long as price did not take out the lower half of the April 16th long green bar, this one has the potential to take out the resistance at $2.6x.

APRI_daily

However, from the chart point-of-view, it has mixed signals.  Price staying above the 89 xma and the 20 MA line is a good sign but the momentum indicators below all point to possible over-bought.  I added more simply because $APRI is finally shipping their products.

I bought back $CERS here ’cause it looked like a formation of a double-bottom here.

CERS_daily

From the chart, you can see the current double-bottom support goes all the way back to July of last year.  I expect this support to hold.  If price bounces from here, I may add more.  Earnings is coming out on May 1st and I feel that any bad news is already baked in the downdraft for the last two months.  So, the probability of bouncing is good.

$DMRC looked like it wanted to bounce so I added a bit more.

DMRC_daily

Today price action closed above Friday high which boded well for the bull side.

Despite some gains, losses from $KNDI and $SEED put my port at breakeven for the day.

Current holdings:

DMRC, LRAD, SVBL, AMRN, SEED, CERS, APRI and 14% cash.

From my other account:

$FITX continued higher and closed right on the resistance line.  It really doesn’t matter where price close these days ’cause the real key here is to get the license approval from Health Canada.

My 2 cents.

03-14-2014 Trading Journal

Market had another down day after spending all day trying to stay afloat.

SPY_Daily

But all is not lost, price still closed inside the consolidation range.  The first “if” I talked about yesterday haven’t been breached yet.

The only one stock in my port that sunk the most is $CARA. The rest of my position were either neutral, slightly up or down which had minimum effect on my port.

CARA_daily

While I’m taking a heat on $CARA, I didn’t mind much at all.  I guess my big win on $KNDI has afforded me the luxury to bide my time on this one.  Price has approached the 50% fib retracement from historical low to high, so let’s see if it will bounce next week.  Btw, I added some more today when it bounced in the morning.  However, I decided to keep my shares even though the price turned negative later on.

Speaking of $KNDI, earning report is supposed to come out Monday, although I’m no longer holding position for this pivotal event, I wish everyone who is holding good luck.  If it takes off based on positive events, I may start to look for re-entry point.

$SEED closed back neutral after taking out the $2.60 support.

seed_daily

Did you see the doji formation today right at the support line?  Meanwhile the  5 MA line is also approaching the 15 MA line, this could mean a potential bounce next week.  Sometimes. the 5 MA line will come back down to touch the 15 MA before it bounces back up if the uptrend momentum is strong.  Let’s see if this is the case.

$KGJI had a strong opening which took out the $1.85.  It reached as high as $1.94 before coming back down to close slightly lower.

KGJI_daily

Because of the spike up, I added some more in the morning.  I’m still holding my added shares ’cause I believe price will eventually take out the ultimate $2.00 resistance.  Once that is taken out, I believe price will fly.  Why?

$KGJI had been consolidating in a range for almost four months now and volume was also increasing recently.  With gold price as well as gold mining stocks climbing for the last several weeks, there is only so much the bear can do to keep $KGJI stuck in a range while almost every gold related stocks are climbing.  Thus, I believe once $KGJI is back in the limelight, price will soar.

$MZOR is also stuck on the consolidation range.

MZOR_daily

Although it was only for about two months, any good news will kick this one up to the upside.

$LRAD closed the week slightly down.

LRAD_daily

But if you look at the weekly chart above, what come to your mind?  It is in a bullish trend, isn’t it?

I also bought a small starter position on $CERS when it was up in the morning (which I forgot to mention on twitter), I decided to keep the position even though it closed negative for the day.  Having a small position will allow me to keep an eye on this and give me the opportunity to add more when price begin to climb again.

CERS_daily

Look at the weekly chart above, price has strong support at the $5.75 level.

Due to $CARA downdraft, my port dropped another notch.  However, I’m still up nicely for the year.

Current holdings:

LRAD, SEED, MZOR, CARA, KGJI, CERS and 24% cash.

From my other account:

$FITX chart looks very positive with a second green bar.

FITX_daily

There may be a good chance price may bounce next week.

My 2 cents.

03-11-2014 Trading Journal

Market played the diver today by going up the springboard in the morning time and then jumped into the water not long afterward.

SPY_Daily

Price is still around the upper range of support so I would call this a healthy correction so far.

$SEED opened strong and I bought back the 40% shares I sold yesterday.  Everything was going perfectly until the mood changed in mid-day.

seed_daily

Since price is still above support, I decided to hang onto the shares I added back today.

$CARA also did a reversal after a stellar morning spike-up.

CARA_daily

So far, the chart still looks bullish with a healthy dose of correction..

$MZOR performed nicely considered that most every one did a reversal.

MZOR_daily

Price is still within the top range of the consolidation area.

$KGJI was still having problem breakout out of $1.85 resistance.

KGJI_daily

I added back some $KGJI I sold yesterday due to the morning surge.

$SVA,, like everyone, enjoyed a strong morning so I bought a medium size position looking for a bounce.

sva_daily

Price did not turn negative and the close was higher than yesterday.  So far so good.

$CERS looked like it was bouncing off from yesterday doji bar so I bought a starter position to test the water.

CERS_daily

Price turned negative for the day.  I will see if the $5.77 previous low @ Feb 3rd will hold before deciding what to do with my small position.

$LRAD remained neutral and range-bounded.

LRAD_daily

As long as it is not trending back down, I’m happy.

Basically, my port was in neutral zone after adding all the pluses and minuses together.

Current holdings:

LRAD, SEED, MZOR, CARA, KGJI, SVA, CERS and 22% cash.

From my other account, I was disappointed that $FITX traded lower while most other cannabis stocks went higher.  Oh well, what can I say but to remind myself to be patient.  Rome isn’t build in a day or a week.

My 2 cents.
