Before I get into this post, I wanted to let you know that I have been dead wrong on this stock in the past.
Sigma is involved with two fast growing markets:
- IPTV set-top box market for telcos– Verizon and AT&T are rolling out their new service very aggressively, and Sigma Designs is a big part of it.
- Blu-Ray DVD market– Now that Blu-Ray is the standard, expect shipment volumes to go up significantly in 2008.
The stock has been unfairly punished due to technical levels, and in my opinion, undervalued.
- PEG Ratio: 0.37 (extremely cheap)
Current technicals:
The company reports on Wednesday so anything is possible, but I plan to get aggressive in the name.

I just got verizon fios installed with triple play. Great service for $100 comes with a fiber optic 20mbps/5mbps line. Beats Comcast hands down. Picture quality sharper than coaxial cable. Fios sub adds were 100% this past qtr compared to last year with penetration rate north of 20%. Btw I was thinking about writing a post on the PG on VZ as a long term value play as it also currently yields 4.7%. Raging, you may have something here with SIGM. Keep up the good work.

I have heard that this website is wonderful, but after visiting it I’ll disagree with most of the people, who think so. Yes, there is some fresh and interesting information but most of it looks unprsentable. There are so many ways to check information, haven’t you heard of it? After trying it several times I realized, that it’s not unique.
