Wal-Mart to sell Blu-ray

Wal-Mart announces they will sell Blu-ray instead of rival HD Video. Blue-ray will become the standard, and [[SIGM]] is your pure play. I plan on building a heavy position in this name.

Let me know if you have some other ways to play this trend.

I found your site on technorati and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. I just added your RSS feed to my Google News Reader. Looking forward to reading more from you.

All the BD backers are A/V giants, so their stock is likely to be unaffected… This includes Sony, JVC, Panasonic, HP, Dell, Disney, etc. Same goes for a Toshiba (HD-DVD) short.

Singulus Technologies makes the actual machines that the disks are pressed on. However, in the US they’re only traded on pink sheets (SGTSF).

Perhaps companies that manufacture the actual laser diodes, like Nichia. However, I couldn’t find any publicly traded ones…

SIGM is probably the best bet…
