The potent tale of a man who chose to eat another man’s face.
The story of Austin Harrouff starts on YouTube, where a man most considered normal starts divulging some creepy details about his psyche.

He talks about drugs, namely steroids, and how he no longer thinks he needs them:
“I know what’s right for me, I don’t need drugs, I know that they can change me.”
“I think steroids really aren’t for me. Honestly. I used to think that… I needed steroids”
But this guy went full savage, viciously stabbing a married couple in their garage before feeding on their faces. So naturally everyone’s like, “this son of a bitch was on drugs!” Initial tests cleared him of classic narcotics. He wasn’t on heroine, go figure. Cocaine either.
People are overlooking one key fact:
Florida is where face eating happens.
Remember the causeway attack in 2012? Bath salts where suspected. Nope–just some psycho Floridian who decided to gnaw a hobo’s face off.
Investigators are running a full toxicology analysis on Harrouff and they suspect a Chinese synthetic drug called ‘flakka’ might explain his barbaric behavior.
Snyder told reporters he can’t be sure if the suspect was on any drugs until the full toxicology report comes back, but said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Flakka was involved. The initial drug screen showed no evidence of the usual drugs, like cocaine and heroin, but the tests for more unique synthetic drugs are still out. Snyder said Harrouff’s body core temperature was low, which could indicate Flakka was not involved.
Flakka, which has been linked to many drug overdoses and bizarre behavior, is a psychoactive stimulant technically known as alpha-PVP.
Nobody suspects pre-workout, which surprises me. Anyone who has ever taken a scoop from any one of the powder kegs GNC peddles knows it can fuel a burning rage to hurt things.
This is a pretty sad story for the victims. They were just relaxing in their garage, enjoying their Florida life when some cement head brutally maims and eats them.
As of this writing, Harrouff is being kept under sedation at a hospital in Palm Beach County. I say we feed him to the gators.
