Did you see the article that (I think) Woodshedder posted, on the average retained earnings after expenses that peope who qualify for government aid have compared to that of everyone else?
Absolutely criminal.
Years ago, when I lived in the U.S., I had some rentals and was amazed at some of the things a couple of my section 8 renters could afford that I didn’t have. They just spent all the money that came in and didn’t worry about the future. While I was squirling away for retirement they were living very comfortable lifestyles.
