The ECB’s problems could be solved today. To stem the bleeding the ECB can buy (and simply cancel) debt. From there they need to implement a capacity to create and distribute currency to the member countries each year from some central authority.
I have to tell you, I love this new monetarism. So simple. Debt is not debt, it’s merely paper that hasn’t been cancelled yet.
Bring it on, I’m in gold.
