once, in college, a group of us were bored and looking up STD statistics. North Dakota was, if memory serves, the lowest rates in the country. Something like a dozen cases of aids, 4 cases of herpes in the entire year, the worst one being like 100-some cases of clamydia or however you spell that. It worked out to something insane like 1/1000 people there got an STD each year.
Some of the southern states were closer to 1/10 or 1/5.
