BREAKING: Vets Injuries from Occupy Oakland Not Caused by Deputies

The Sheriff’s Department said an internal investigation unit is reviewing the incident, but it’s unlikely the identified deputies caused Olsen’s injury. Spokeswoman Eileen Hirst said 35 of the 37 Sheriff’s Department personnel on site for the raid were not carrying projectiles, and the two who were equipped with them did not fire.

Internal investigations by American police departments are world renown for their lack of bias and objectiveness.

Lol. Still, there were so many people, I’m inclined to believe if there were smoking gun proof, we’d have seen it by now.

Have you seen the videos? Granted you don’t see the canister hit him in the head, just flying towards him. What you do indisputably see is a police officer drop a tear gas grenade directly onto the people who came to carry him to safety.

Yes, a police officer fired the tear gas. This article is just clearing the SF Sherrifs office of doing it – there are many cities/county Sherrifs departments that supply mutual aid to one another during events like this.

Have you see the videos? Can’t get much more smoking gun proof than what’s already out there. The challenge here, is figuring out which officer fired the projectile.

This is a very misleading headline.

People claimed the officer that fired the projectile was from the SF Sherrifs department. This article is saying that it wasn’t their officer, but… He was injured by a projectile fired from a police officer from one of the mutual aid departments

    Don’t care.
You take your chances when you are in a violent demonstration.

there is no “fair” when it comes to this. time these folks that are protesting, come to realize, that when a situation such as civil disobedience occurs it is no different than being on a battlefield. with the only caveat being, the protesters are the enemy.so, whatever the “authorities” do,will get a tacit for any of their actions. who gives a flying fuck who did it.just stop and think for a minute. if soldiers are on a battlefield, and start popping off the enemy left and right,at the end of the day do you think the ones doing the poppin will be prosecuted in any way………..puhlease
