That’s a bona fide bag 0’crap alright. Did he not have anything in the “plus” column?
So after his big trade, he just went out and started buying all the biggest shit he could find? I think this man may have been oversold a little…
Can’t remember who said it here a few days ago, but just to regurgitate…
He’s a one it wonder. But, what a hit that was. Probably the greatest one it of all time.
and by it I mean hit…stupid touch screen
That was a comment I made in the PPT a while back. Compared his one hit to a walk off grand slam in game 7 of the World Series.
Like I said in the original comment, there’s probably a reason no one ever heard of this guy until subprime collapsed.
the overlap between Paulson and Fairholme compounds the problem of redemptions leading to share price pressure on their big holdings. If it happens, driving their select (and, frankly, reasonably well selected) group of financials way down, it will probably represent a pretty good buying opportunity.
And, i must remember in the future to never be long stocks that are “hedge fund hotels” AFTER a huge market run up.
Watch out $AAPL.
