Asking For Your Prayers Or Whatever You Do…

I humbly ask for your prayers, good thoughts, sacrifices or whatever you do for my littlest one. This is extremely out of my nature to ask and share such personal situations publicly but this guy needs anything he can get. He coded yesterday and the doctors have ran every test under the sun to no avail. He has an abnormal amount of fluid in his belly and his liver is slightly enlarged. This will most likely be my final post, as I need to get with Le Fly and discuss the possibility of a special election for a new tabbed blogger. Thank you all for the kind words and messages I have received. To make this finance related, the people’s portfolio is updated here and, obviously, there will be a delay in getting around to @reformedbroker’s book review.

Graciously Yours,

MAXIMUS

  1. I will keep your little guy in my thoughts. Stay strong.

  2. Thoughts and prayers are the least one can do and readers wish you and family with the biggest of recoveries.

  3. Oh my god. I can’t think of anything meaningful to write in light of this news…I can’t even begin to imagine what you must be going through. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Stay strong little man. Stay strong.

  4. Good thoughts coming your way…all the best to your little guy

  5. My devout prayers for your little guy. Nothing is more difficult for parents than having a little one in the hospital when docs don’t know what’s wrong. Been there, done that. Earnest prayers to guide the doctors in their treatment as well as for you and your family.

  6. Adding my prayers to those already spoken.

  7. my prayers are with you and your family

  8. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family, Max.

  9. Yes, this very moment, for your beautiful baby boy.
    Stay strong, Maximus.
    ~Sincerely

  10. May Odin bless you.

  11. Keep on top of the doctors and never trust a nurse.

  12. And get more doctors if these guys can’t figure it out. The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit be with you and the missus and the little guy now and always.

  13. My prayers are with you and your child. May a miracle reach your family from the very throne room of God Himself.

Thinking good thoughts here and wish him speedy recovery. Ditto what Braveflaps said. It’s a tough time, but you’ve got to demand that someone figures something out and stay on top of them. If they can’t get it done demand other doctors, specialists, etc.

  15. Check with a pediatrician or a children’s hospital if you have one in your area.
Thoughts and prayers are with you to stay strong for your family.

  16. Thoughts and prayers are with you. I’ve dealt with something similar. Thankfully, my daughter turned out okay, and I hope your little guy does okay as well.

As others have said, don’t be afraid to push those doctors and to demand that they look into everything appropriately. Not to impugn all of them, but some of them are lazy and/or not sufficiently creative. Make sure they bust their ass for your little guy.

  17. thanks for all the kind words and advice. one of us is here for the majority of the day/night so we’ve been on top of the docs for the past 2 months. we are at one of the nations best children’s hospitals and have seen every department here. one extremely rare disorder test outstanding. thanks again all, means alot.

  18. If you remember I’m the pediatrician who occasionally posts her. Having spent a lot of time in the NICU and sadly seen to many codes my prayers go out to you. The fly is right keep in close contact with the doctors they get busy but when they know there is a family always there we tend to go out of our way to try to update that family whenever we get a second. Best wishes

  19. Prayers sent for you guys. Nothing tougher to deal with than your own flesh and blood being truly ill or injured I can remember how helpless I felt. God will give strength for each day as it comes for all of you.

  20. I’m pulling for the little guy. Here’s hoping that 18 years from now he’s a National Merit Finalist, rated a 5 star LB by Rivals, etc. and can name his school.

  21. My prayers to you and your family
    Godspeed Maximus

  22. I know exactly what you are going through, having spent 3 months in the NICU when my twins were born this summer.

I assure you: If anyone says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
    Mark 11:23
