Writer makes several valid points, specifically that a German Exodus devalues all currency – thus reducing chances of a “run” on any single nation’s banks.

Germany would feel pain as well, as their exports would increase but would solve their greatest perceived worry – the hyper inflation that will come from bailing out the PIIGS
