Stocks Trapped in Iron Range! Charts and Trades

Stocks have traded in the same ~2% range for 4 straight days.

The Central Bank madness is just noise. No one was ready to take risks after such massive overnight moves. Once stocks hit the upside of the range Yellen would have needed to launch QEndless to keep us higher. All seemed lost by the time the bell saved us all from apparent collapse

Then FaceBook kicked a mudhole in estimates after hours and rose more than 12%.

Here’s how the S&P500 looks as of the close today. We’ll rip,it up and start over again tomorrow.

Why does my gut tell me that FB is a huge scam? Like on the order of Enron, Tulips and salad oil.

FB may be overvalued based on the user metrics but there’s no reason to find the companies buying ads as frauds in my opinion.

BC you don’t use it? I don’t either. Had I not spent time at Yahoo and seen real Millennials using Facebook I still wouldn’t believe it.

But it’s not a fraud. Zuck is the real deal.

Jeff, where do you think Zuck ranks in the pantheon of best CEOs? Like maybe somewhere between Bezos and Schultz?

Jeremy, one thing all three of those guys have in common? Founders of their companies.

Schultz didn’t actually found Starbucks and Zuck was part of a team. He was the dominant part of the team for reasons that seem obvious now… He’s a really freaking smart guy. The winner write the history books but Zuck didn’t carve FB out of a piece of raw marble like Bezos has Amazon.

Zuck was pretty punchable 4 years ago. Then he made the leap with mobile. HoodieMan adapts like a cyborg. He’s the best of his generation by a long shot.

All he’s missing is longevity. We can’t grade Zuck yet. Almost but not quite. His relation to the CEO Pantheon is like LeBron and the basketball Hall of Fame. Obviously he’s going in but we can’t say how big the plaque needs to be.

Thanks for the history lesson Jeff. After I posted, I had one of those Homer Simpson “doh” moments when I realized Schultz didn’t start Starbucks. One thing I can say about all three of those guys is their laser focus on a task at had (almost General Patton like) and the passion they have in serving their target audience (i.e., customer).
