Jake-rodamus Strikes!

Jakerodamus

____________________
It’s uncanny, isn’t it?  Jakerodamus provides you, just days ago, with predictions– like Rick Santorum coming in a very close second to Romney in Iowa– and poof!, that prediction comes true!   Recall also, that I predicted the same Santorum will come in a more distant, but still surprising, second in New Hampshire.   The rubber match will be South Carolina, which will force some sort of confrontation and quite possibly a mutual detente between those two leaders through the remaining primaries.

What else did I say?  Oh yeah, something about gold, silver and earl, right?  So far, so good.

I’m probably going to bail on the ERX trade tomorrow, however, as I think we might get one or two more days of “jack” before that thing bangs against that $55 resistance and comes back down to fill that gap at around $47-ish:

I will also shave some NUGT tomorrow, although I think there are still some very good charts out there in the gold and silver, including AG, ANV, BAA, and EXK, and RGLD.  My little coal play, PCX also looks like it has some room to run, stochastically speaking.

To summarize, I am not ready throw the towel in on this grand first day leap, but I’m also playing “tight” right now, and keeping a keen sharp and wizened eye (of the sorcerer, Jakerodamus) on the dollar.  Make no mistake, the dollar will tell our tale here, good or bad.   If the dollar drops below $79.30, or if gold breaks above $1620, I’ll be adding again.

Best to you all.

      What?

That was not even the prediction. Theres a long way to santorum being veep. And he came second! Hes just the lastest GOP clown in this shitty reality show.

Rommel will win and name none of these clowns. Mark my word.

Santorum? I mean santorum!? How low do you fundamentalists have to sink? Just like the rest of bachelors/bachelorette he’ll be voted off as soon as the spotlight will be on him. They’ll beg for palin’s composure and moderation.

Indie, the prediction was that Santorum would come in second.

Jeezus, no history education AND a severe lack of reading comprehension?

No wonder you’re such a mixed up kid.

what a prediction!! santorum second in iowa. lo and behold we have a devin intervention here. he is the oracle.

That’s another call… but shit, I’m worried about you. How can I declare a prophesy fulfilled if it hasn’t been fulfilled yet.

Perhaps you should lay off the pot? Normal cognitive process will clear up almost immediately, I promise you.

I don’t know how you can roll out the old Lefty fear and smear campaigns like that Bruce, when Your Main Man Zero just signed a law INSISTING on the Executive Right to arrest citizens on the homeland soil?

As much as you lefties like to obfuscate, it’s you guys who are turning this country fascist. And don’t worry, you live in New York, and Santorum’s a state’s rights guy, so you can go get buggered til your heart’s content if that’s the way y’all like it out there on the Island.

fascist’s nemesis was your beloved filthy communists. You cant be a fascist and a bolchevik at the same time unless you live in post apocalyptic Beckish alernate universe.

Unless, perhaps you mean obama is a a double agent.

        I can only speculate.

You need to study your history. Fascism rose out of a quasi-corporatized socialism as defined by Mussolini’s party in the first part of the 20th century. Mussolini started out pure socialist, as did Hitler. Their only difference from the Bolshy’s was that the Reds from Moscow did not respect national borders.

Authoritarian statism is authoritarian statism. Get your head out of your ass and read a book about your own Constitution.

blah blah blah. you always have to throw in an insult. showing an unbecoming inferiority complex. usually, you’re better serve with your wit. which is actually quite appreciated ovaheah.

anyway, i see you are some kind of a revisionist. keep reading the history books that fit your agenda. or more like, take what fit your agenda and discard the rest. it shows an intellectual dishonesty.

socialism isn’t fascism end of the story. fascism opposes socialism or any kind of class based movement.

fascism took both from the left and right in its early defining years but definitely ended up strongly on the right.

anyway, you know all that as you are well read.

Is it insulting if I point out your educational inadequacies? Blame your parents or your public school system, which I suspect is either European or Canadian. Whichever the case, you’ve been horribly maleducated, and I won’t have you repeating such crap on my fora without a vigourous response.

You don’t like? Go spout your nonsense elsewhere.

Fascism is an authoritarian system, true, but it’s merely another side of the authoritarian socialist movement that sprang out of the Jacobin/Progressive/Marxist/Bureaucratic “new order” of the mid to late 19th century Europe. In the early 20th century, because Fascists opposed communism in what grew to become a European Socialist power struggle, Fascism found itself arrayed against it’s more globalist Leftist brethren in a battle of “whose authoritarianism is better.” Both were marked by an absence of rule of law and wide use of Terror of the State. Neither were in the least bit “right wing” in the sense that we use the term today — to connote conservative and free market economic policies. Neither cared a whit for freedom.

In modern times, leftist educational systems have pushed the trope that Fascism was somehow a “right wing” movement, because instead of completely subsuming operating corporations, Fascists only controlled them from the office of State. Distinction without a difference? Of course, and equally as corrosive to a functioning economy over time, thank goodness.

Of course, there’s nothing conservative, capitalist or free-market about such systems. In fact, if one could isolate THE major distinction that separates “right wing” thinking and the twin evils of fascism and communism is that the Rule of Law exists on one side, and not on the other.

As we’ve seen today, the Rule of Law breaks down as the Executive Branch goes “ex-Legislature” and lays down it’s own laws which are equally binding upon persons, though never having been approved by any elected legislature.

THAT is the essence of fascism, my son, and THAT is what you voted for in 2008.

Too funny… my last post was so long, I got myself “self-moderated.” So when I went to clear it out of the system, I found a Purdy post…

(Aside: Purdy, I have not banned you so I’m not sure why you dreck keeps getting held up. Believe me, I relish your every dopey comment).

Here it is… I guess from the other day, Purdy at his dimmest:

Santorum will be a poor 3rd in NH at best. The snake-handler-apocalypse-now vote is not nearly as big there as Iowa.

                interesting.

“Fascists opposed communism in what grew to become a European Socialist power struggle, Fascism found itself arrayed against it’s more globalist Leftist brethren in a battle of “whose authoritarianism is better.”

you have a way with words to make it sound like it makes sense. but it don’t(sic).

so, now according to your “alernative schooling” WW2 was a socialists power struggle?

and what is this nouveau right you are talking about? do you mean the fundamentalist one that always want to have look in our bedrooms? the “moral right” that send people 15 years in prison for dealing pot? the ones that murder doctors because they perform abortions? the ones that burn crosses? while we’re at it you don’t think the left has also evolved? aside from the obvious left evolved for the worst while your “team right” has evolved for the best?

like i said, you take what fit and discard the rest.

i like how you mix all a bunch of different political movements into a long line of “filthy” socialists. even before socialism even existed. nicely done.

Q: so, now according to your “alernative schooling” WW2 was a socialists power struggle?

Essentially yes. In fact, the two socialist factions (USSR and Nazi Germany) were actually allies until it suited neither of them. Did you attend a secondary school?

Q:do you mean the fundamentalist one that always want to have look in our bedrooms??

Pray tell, poor Indie, what government agents have been “looking into your bedroom?” Or are you talking about Batrocks Oblahblah signing a law allowing the Executive to keep you (even if you are an American) beyond the reach of your lawyer simply because HE thinks you might be an AQ sympathizer? Maybe if you don’t buy into the nonsense you just regurgitated, you’d be a prime candidate?

The “moral right” that send people 15 years in prison for dealing pot?

Is that what you are worried about? Pot dealing? LOFL!

The ones that murder doctors because they perform abortions?

Good thing there are no leftists wackoes out there discrediting your entire movement. Ooops! But hey, be sure to tar everyone in a group with the maunderings of a couple of crazies. That sure won’t come back to slap you in the ass anytime soon. (Cough! Cough! Weatherman/CodePink/OWS/EarthFirst/RedBrigade/etc. etc. etc)

                  the ones that burn crosses?

ROFLMAO! You mean like esteemed nine-term Democrat Senator, Grand Kleagle Robert Byrd? Holy shit, give up while you’re behind. To this day almost every member of the KKK is a registered Democrat.

….while we’re at it you don’t think the left has also evolved? aside from the obvious left evolved for the worst while your “team right” has evolved for the best?

I can only look at it from the aspect of my own country. I am a Reagan Republican, so if I see my team as “evolving” it’s been toward the left since Reagan, in the guise of “compassionate” (i.e., more government favorable) conservatives like George Bush I & II.

As for the left today… it’s a million different factions all across the world. The North Koreans are “the left,” — have they evolved? Howabout Cuba? China? Somewhat. Viet Nam? A lot.

Again, I can only speak to how the Left affects my country. Here, I certainly don’t like how it’s taken over the Democrat party we see in my country today. They have become, essentially, the worst of the McGovern, hippy, socialist, sixties-era, Boomer brats. Spoiled, narcissistic, dependent, and corrupt.

Since we are the safety net of a Europe that has already transformed into the above, the world cannot afford our similar transformation. This is why this coming election is so crucial. We need to right the ship before it crashes fully into the iceberg.

“team right” is king and religion.

king became nationalism with the advent of nation state but the main core values have stayed the same; family values (read patriarchal model), patriotic and militaristic values (read anti-civilian and ultimately anti-democratic) and faith (read christian).

perhaps i’m wrong (maybe your vast knowledge can enlight me) but in my understanding of history, moderate right wingers (capitalist liberals) are behind what you call free-market capitalism.

i like the right you talk about but that’s not the right i know. and that’s not pulled from leftist books. that’s from contemporary historical facts. it is not a right that’s inclusive and tolerant (values i consider at the core of a free and democratic society). not unlike your blog. cause it is yours and not mine, i’m only a guest here. so i’ll be on my merry way.

The last thing the Left is inclusive and “tolerant.” This is a libertarian country, above all. We want small gov’t and to be left alone to make our fortunes. We protect the weak and the innocent. The left seeks to dominate the same, and make their decisions for them.

Perhaps when you are a bit older, these realities will become more plain.

It took me a while to get over my “dumbass college lefty” phase as well.

                      Best of luck.

“You cant be a fascist and a Bolshevik at the same time unless you live in post apocalyptic Beckish alernate universe”

Early socialists Saint-Simon, Engles, etc and Hegelianists had the idea that there would be a select few areas such as railway and banking that would have monopolies and run things, while the rest of the economy would be socialized. The real concept of socialism is supported by central banks, as was FDR and Hitler connected with Wallstreet… just research Antony Sutten for starters… Read Engles and Marx’s rich hating communist manifesto itself.

The idea is that the world is “socialized” but what comes with that is someone has to govern to be sure that the profits and losses are shared so dictatorial power is basically enacted by government. They decide how you work and who gets the money and what you are entitled to. Since the banks pull the strings of the government, and the government would run the people. Any attempt at socialism would essentially only be one where you are controlled by elites, it just is a shift of elites power either towards business or towards government, in many ways they are essentially one entity… but in any case, without the profit motivator, it is like giving everyone the average grade in the class, and if the A and B students stop working as hard since it’s not as much worth their effort, soon everyone fails together.

It doesn’t really matter if the government or business is running the show, except that with profit as a motivator, people have more of a say in what goods and services are most valuable rather than governments, and the key difference is that government have the ability to send in tanks with hyped up young “go get the bad guy” kids that will execute any orders and kill anyone to expand the empire. Personally, government seems to be a much bigger problem, but alas, it certainly is possible to have both socialist and facist views at the same time, both are a guise for the real power liberalism of going around the world trying to make everyone else live just like you or suffer the consequences. Certainly the “power liberal” policies of nation building were policies of both Clinton and Bush as well as expanded by Obama, but I will certainly prefer limiting the government’s power over expanding it. I’m not convinced either party will sufficiently do so, aside from a Ron Paul Victory, but I certainly would side with Romney before Obama, and Obama before Santorum who just oozes “I’m a spoiled child who’s never been at war but still wants to go bomb Iran and everyone that disagrees with us”, because I’m a meglomaniac powerhead. Obama strikes me more as a “lets have fun manipulating people and listen to my own speech religiously kissing my own butt and talking a good game but secretly still an “ends justifies the means” and “go get everyone on the planet save for Iraq which is just a distraction to make people think I am antiwar when in reality I expand the heck out of it. Well there’s comfort that Santorum is honest about it, but he is wreckless in openly saying he will bomb Iran if they don’t comply with his authoritarian hand…

I certainly am a bit concerned of Paul being a bit too soft, but I certainly don’t buy the “isolationist label. Isolationism means complete independence and not leveraging allies and trading and any indirect involvement. Paul is very much going to be indirectly involved, he just doesn’t have views of a military conquest and nation building (cough… Bush in 2000 running against Nation Builder Clinton)….

Obama may have signed the NDAA into law and even made sure it was there, but it was a bipartisan agreement before it got to his desk.

As far as I am concerned, this is the perfect example of the Roman god “Janus” whom January was named after. One head looking back in the past, and the other looking forward. As Reagan said, there is no right and left path, only forward and backwards, and those that would give up liberties are headed backwards. Unfortunately this is a two headed monster and it seems both are on the wrong path, but they say that democracy is the worst form of government, except for all forms of government tried before it…. This free republic may be corrupted, but the poroblem is not the republic ideals, it’s the select few. The idiots who continue this ponzi scheme of selling debt, and the primary dealers who give advice to the government while taking money from it like a drug user getting advice from a dealer about the health of drug use.

There is structural reform like communism which will not work, nor has any radical policy of absolute control (under the guise of equal money for everyone), and then there is the kind that is needed such as term limits, an inability for the government to write themselves their own checks and retirement plans while writing our own, no insider trading or any kind of stock trading or exchange of information pertaining to it while in office, no debt expansion beyond 15% of GDP except in times of war. No unfunded liabilities allowed to be added. No paying interest to itself through a central bank which just enables bigger government and big business expansion and limits small business growth and so on and so forth.

Obama is everything everyone said about him and the media ignored. He’s authoritarian, he’s hard socialist, and he’s trying to make the Executive Branch (through the power of his alphabet agencies) the last word for American capitalism. He’s following the Mussolini model to a tee. Many large cronies can exist (and get their Obamacare waivers here) as long as they pay the Piper.

That ain’t America, pal. And you know for sure that Santorum will NEVER have the approbation of the US Media like the Zero has had, so he will NEVER be able to do any of the fear and smear things you accuse him of.

What he will not do is appoint more statists to federal agencies to contribute to furthering the gummint’s grip on our economy. For all your alleged Ron Paul love, that’s what you fear the most.

Santorum will be a poor 3rd in NH at best. The snake-handler-apocalypse-now vote is not nearly as big there as Iowa.

Lots of Catholics in New Hampshire.

Oh, what’s that? You didn’t know Santorum was a Catholic?

You’re going to have to start bussing your “Occupy Franklin,” Maahhs hippy buddies up there now, if you want to have some effect…

“We can’t wait for Congress to act, and if Congress refuses to act and if Republicans choose the path of obstruction, rather than cooperation, then the president is not going to sit here. This gridlock in Washington is not an excuse for inaction.” –White House Press Secretary Jay Carney

So, in effect, cooperation means agreeing with the Democrat agenda. See, the beauty of our republic government, and make no mistake, the Founders did not establish a Democracy, is that there are (supposed) to be numerous checks and balances built into the system. The government is not supposed to get its way. Because there is a lack of agreement there is protection of the people’s freedoms and liberties.

I want the government to be inactive. I want them to go home. I want them to stop meddling with my freedoms and liberties.

As the 5 Min Forecast reported yesterday “It’s not that the 40,000 new laws — state and federal — that hit the books yesterday for the first time are outrageous… it’s the sheer quantity that’s alarming”

40,000 new laws. THAT is what you get when you have agreement in government.

Be careful, Song… Indie might start calling you a fascist for opposing the One.

PS — how many of those 40,000 “laws” were written by alphabet Executive branch bureaucrats? How many will be administered by them?

I’m not sure how many are federal versus those that are for the individual states. But certainly Obama’s administration has been busy writing up regulations that will be overseen by the alphabets.

I’m no fascist. I’m a Jeffersonian patriot. One of his more interesting quotes:
“I am not a friend to a very energetic government. It is always oppressive.”

Certainly our government is increasingly oppressive. I am not a friend to leftists.

Yea I know. Just letting your leftist readership know where I stand, FWIW.

Interesting how left-leaning iBankcoin’s readership appears. It’s always interesting, and typically informative, reading your debates with the leftists.

Batrocks Oblahblah goes proto-fascist on us again!

President Obama announced he will use recess appointments for his three picks for the National Labor Review Board, avoiding Republican blocks to his nominations. The news comes after he announced earlier Wednesday that he would appoint Richard Cordray to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The appointees-to-be, Sharon Block, Terence Flynn, and Richard Grifin will join the board where they will work with unions and oversee their activities. Republicans had already criticized the president for using the recess appointment this morning. “This is an extraordinary and entirely unprecedented power grab by President Obama that defies centuries of practice and the legal advice of his own Justice Department,” John Boehner said. And that was before the three new appointments!

Obviously, Batrocks is seeing the writing on the wall and wants to get those commies in their shoring up Big Labor’s hold on the economy for long after he’s vacated the premises.

I find this most egregious. This is dishonorable. A disgrace. The Senate will sue the Administration for this unconstitutional move.

It’s bad enough that they even allow recess appointments but to have Caesar Obamanus try to go outside the Constitution for these appointments really makes my blood boil.

Asshat Harry the Reid was vehemently against such appointments, even within the confines of the rule of law, when Bush was making them. The hypocrite POS is perfectly happy when Obamanus does them.

I am utterly pissed over this.

Our Constitution is in Exile. Folks better wake up because this kind of unlawful act will effect all people, left, right or center, in this country.

This is what I’m talking about. The Left is silent while this bullscheiss goes on… do they not realize the One is establishing precedent, here?

        Cry freedom, people.
