I really can’t recommend any powerful longs right now, as long as I see leaders like AXYS just crumble and fall like yesterday. sheez. although we are in a “confirmed rally”, watch out for Thunder Thursday.
Once again, follow the Vix to the high 40s for a higher probability to short. After scanning through yesterday’s market (I was out for the day), I think the bears scored a point in that one. One spike down in the Vix, then the Medes and the Persians end Nebuchadnezzar’s party.

Man, you must be really depressed about the Lakers game. Hey, just tell yourself that the only thing that matters are the playoffs, everything else is just practice-maybe you wont be so down.

My son came home last night from college for the break. He showed me a DVD of his “surfing” experience a few weeks ago in Hawaii at a couple of beaches called Sunset Beach and Pipeline beach. They (the golf team) had professional instruction and I must say it looked like fun.

Market down a little, VIX down a little (or up a little, I don’t have real time VIX access – but it’s a small move so far). Like you said yesterday, the VIX going sideways is essentially helping out the bulls.

Hey Heckler… GMXR = is fuego. DXO is hot. Energy is just too spicy. I started a hedge though, shorting some other commodities like gold and solar. i might sell GMXR and take off a hedge simultaneously though.

If you’re doing the Obama solar play, be sure to sell them all before near market close on the day before he is inaugurated, because the big money will blow out of them then. I did the same thing in the days preceding the election – starting buy solar stocks about 2 weeks beforehand, a block every few days. I ended up making something ridiculous, like 60% gains on it, over 2 weeks.
