On the other hand I have to admit I was at the end (very very end) of some tear gas when I was attending U of Fl. in Gainesville in the early 1970’s.
Some party goers decided to do another Vietnam protest in Gainesville which spilled over towards the Administration Bldg. (Tigert Hall).
The police didn’t like it.
I was a student senator for the College of Arts and Sciences and was called along with others to calm things down. There was tear gas in the air.
Long story short we gave the Administration the idea to order a whole bunch of pizzas for the demonstrators (no Papa Johns back then or Pizza Hut).
Everything turned out groovy and far out.
Moral of the story- Why don’t the cops just order pizzas for the BLM rioters. It worked in the ’70s.
Nah. If a protester of color choked on a pepperoni, the cop would face life behind bars.
