I made more than 1.5% for the day, despite CYBR being flat. I am saddled with about 30 positions, most of which are small, under 5% of assets. I’ve taken this approach this year in an effort to be flexible and avoid outsized drawdowns. When I am ready to average into a name, I simply sell off one or two of my smaller holdings and bulk up on it. I used this strategy, successfully, in my last two positions in ONCE. Should ONCE drop 5-10% from current levels, I will likely double my position.
My largest holding is CYBR. It is performing with the market and I am about flat on it. My second largest holding is CRM, up around 4% from my basis cost. Other positions of note include PANW, AAPL, TWTR, BLCM and VDSI.
I own MU and down severely on it. I did enjoy today’s rally, however.
The market was oversold and now we’ve bounced. I feel strongly that this rally will hold, for at least 10 days. We are stuck in the tightest range in many years and the grind is chopping off the heads of many speculators. My sole advice to you is this: keep your losses very small, no more than 10%. Keep your position sizes manageable, no more than 15%. And diversify your holdings, but take outsized chances when you believe the odds are in your favor. These are difficult tasks to partake in, things that have take me over 10,000 hours to perfect.

About halfway through the game, I mess with my chess opponents in a similar fashion.

Financial implosions generally do take awhile
If you caught those moves? Well played and absolutely gambled on earnings. But blind faith works sometimes.
Yelp had the opportunity to grow into a great company. They fucked up.
They got drunk and sexually harassed each other instead.
YELP is the biggest disaster of a company that’s ever been recommended here and that’s something considering how many contenders there are.
TWTR CFO just killed it AH…
Was there a crying baby in the conference call?
Looking like a good chance $TWTR gaps to a new all time low tomorrow morning. IF $YELP is a poorly run company, $TWTR is the poster child.
Had a chance to sell it up 5% AH and then the CFO spoke. Horrible.
Dick C led twtr from 20 million users, zero revenue, through an IPO, 250 million users and a 25b cap. And I like the periscope opportunity. They need to look at all of the other retards on the leadership team and the BOD which I bet is founder heavy, imo
I have now completely lost faith in fundamental analysis, Fly. BWLD missed estimates by 10%, missed earnings and revenue forecasts, guided lower… stock up 10% after hours!
Quite right, Fly. A mentor is mandatory.
Exodus looks exemplary.
For 73 million a year you would think Anthony Noto could have said we see: “gradual or conservative user growth in the mid term” instead of “no meaningful user growth for a considerable amount of time”
All fads end. Most do not have public prosecution to seal the deal. Social media is over.
