I know a smart fucker, a retired Soros debt guy, retired for years already, sub 50 years old, who just put on a rather large short Euro trade. He ain’t no trader, he’ll sit with this for a year or two. He may be wrong, of course, but another way of diversifying away from ones relatively inflated currency, is to buy foreign assets, ala Buffetts buys outside the USA the last few years.

DNDN dow news indicating that the DNDN short ratio is 1/3 of float…data from end of 11/07 at 14 days to cover noted above, that is old info…added again on the break of 6.70…this could get very interesting boys.

The FDA treatment of DNDN’s drug is quite defensible. I don’t think this goes anywhere.
DNDN’s drug takes a longer time to work than chemo does, so it needs longer trials. The trials completed to date were fine as far as safety, but lacked convincing results on efficacy.
Had the FDA approved the drug in May, it would have disrupted the trial that is underway.
The complaint by the members of Congress might affect how the FDA selects members of advisory committees, but there is no way it leads to approval in the foreseeable future.

That’s right … this is old news. Everyone knew that two members had a conflict of interest with another biotech working on a competing drug. In fact, one of the officers did a nutty at the meeting when their decision was announced and has left the company as a result …. another tree shake like SIRI only this time the headfake is on the shorts. Someone please tell me why the market insists on these gay ass reversals. So all day today the market was unhappy because of credit problems, inflation and all that good stuff and then in the last 15 minutes it just decides to say Oh that didn’t really matter now did it.
It’s getting old. I still baked coin shorting the bastards today (ala Woodsheders honey hole) but the obviousness and gayness of these reversals is losing its humor.
