Five Stocks Paying for Your Taco Lunch Today

pictures_of_the_day_4

Courtesy of The PPT algorithm, here are the most current top five readings from my “12631 RELATIVE STRENGTH” custom-made screen, identifying which stocks are exuding some of the best performances to the market at-large at any given moment.

I look for stocks whose Daily PPT Hybrid Score surges, while the Weekly Hybrid has been negative over the past week. This can often yield stocks which are emerging from consolidations.

Half Off of $INO

AOL 9.1 - Connected, Signed-On 8232009 80911 PM

I took half off of my INO long at $12.31 from my $11.65 entry yesterday to lock in partial gains.

My stop-loss is raised to my entry price.

I am inclined to take gains into strength, especially given the weakness in other Ebola plays today.

What are you trading this morning?

Follow the Ebola Dance

limbo1

As I noted yesterday with my INO buy, I expect another rotation within the Ebola stocks. This time, I expect vaccine plays to catch a bid.

Just this morning, President Obama appointed an “Ebola Czar,” further illuminating that the CDC has been downplaying the issue this whole time.

To my eye, IBIO INO are two of the better-acting Ebola stocks while the others are seeing profit-taking, such as NLNK.

Also note the continued selling in Netflix, as the stock adjusts to the shock of earnings.

Quick Bounce Plays

If you are looking for some (quick) support buys here, a good algorithm screen to have, courtesy of The PPT, is one I made called “12631 Quick Bounce Plays.”

In the screen, I am looking to isolate stocks with positive daily Hybrid PPT scores, but negative weekly ones.

Thus, they are ripe for a quick bounce as the momentum seems to be turning, if only for a bit. I also screen for PPT Relative Strength scores, as well as volume and % from 50 day moving average.

Here are the readings as of Thursday’s close. Remember, we are talking about short-term flips here, not high quality, multi-week swings. Keep those stop-losses in place.

Late Night Strategy for Friday

fqjBFsi

Ebola plays such as CMRX INO and biotech ACHN are long setups, while soft commodities like CORN JO SGG WEAT are also in play on strength.

And, once again, if weakness sets in and holds, I may press some index shorts into the weekend if I sense recent dip-buyers are trapped.

Drop me your top tickers overnight.
