The transportation stocks continue to act well, relative to the broad market in particular. That crucial 5,000 level on the Dow Jones Transportation Average is being negotiated with strength by the bulls here, and the charts looks as ready as it will ever be to clear 5,100. In addition to large cap trannie bellwethers such as FDX and UNP acting well, smaller-cap rail-related names such as GBX are showing promising signs. My post last night focused on monitoring select airlines plays such as JBLU and LUV.
I have to believe that if the market moves higher here, that the transportation sector will be one of the leaders.
