looking like we are going to close below it now, meaning an up day tomorrow (odds show, at least). i was hoping this would happen. we usually see a head fake move right after the decision, a run the opposite direction into the close, and then a run the opposite direction of that the next day.

Too late for trades, but from an academic standpoint /ES has a couple textbook flag patterns from about 10:00 to the present. (1 min)
Looks like I won’t be around to see it happen, but /6E is also begging for a couple flags on the 5 and 15 min. Supports would be around .xx15, .xx05 (slightly weaker), and .x690 if we make it that far south.
/CL would also be worth watching
I hope someone out there got in to this /6E trade. 1.4717 -> 1.4715 -> 1.4705 ->1.4690 as predicted -> alll the way down to ~1.4630. That would have been a easy 1k per contract. Should have skipped my classes today…

Checking out ILI during a rare break. I’ve been mostly out of action, totally consumed in my preparations for an health care IT address I’m giving at a large medical conference next week in San Diego – I’m being paid to give the talk (the best marketing opportunity for my biz I’m likely to see this decade), as well as a number of other biz deadlines kicking me in the head.
Here’s the scoop as I see it. Designer fat counselling = Freakin cash money bags. They are also in several other areas of counselling based on genetic profiling. Sex, health, money – the holy triad, and weight control is the golden buddha at the top. I’m in light at the low 1.40’s, but I think they’ll sell millions of tests to all those late night folks spending hundreds on fat pills. It will obviously be volatile for a while.
Hope some of you folks are holding HLCS – the RNA sequencing is a big deal. I picked up a bunch more during the recent flop down to the 2.40’s. This will spike ferociously with any news – even on a crap day.

No, not looking to short down here. Spaz up on pr, then deep retrace, has been the pattern. I was just noting that it may be worth watching because it had retraced to a support area – recent ( 10 day) uptrend line, 20 day ema, secondary price) and then made a higher high on my 5 minute chart.
…and this morning’s pr and resulting pop complete the pattern.
Someone quoted some dodo med school dropout analyst that gave a recent buyout valuation of between 60 and 160 million. That’s an enormous range – everything is wrong with that.
I don’t know if HLCS goes lower or what, but I think it would be crazy to short this volatile stock so close to it’s support point of around 2.50 – given the bounces have been crazy high and fast, and any one of them could stick. Besides, there’s been serious HLCS insider buying last week….

2.57 was the price for the secondary common shares for existing investors. Were these purchases part of the secondary or were they bought in the open market? I don’t think you can short the stock here with confidence. It has been pretty easy to short after the spikes though, not that I have had the balls to do it. Rather, I have just been riding the roller coaster, waiting for the big one and occasionally taking profits on the spikes after the upward momentum is gone.

Checking out the microcap SPDE in between powerpoint slide review and snacks…seems like a pretty cool speculative twofer; biotech with the cardiac monitor biz and DRAM solid state drive on the pure tech side. I’m in light closer to 5$ than I’d like over a couple of buys. Trades very THINLY.
Also in OPXA a couple percent lower than the current price. I like the pipeline and science – the chart has that JAZZ come hither look..
