President Trump told the UN today in no uncertain terms that the United States will have to ‘totally destroy’ North Korea if they don’t dismantle their nuclear program.
“It’s time for North Korea to realize that de-nuclearization is its only acceptable future.”
Trump warned that if the US must defend itself or its allies, “we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea,” adding that “Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and his regime.”

Wow, iBC is in the business of spreading fake news now? Your headline contradicts the content of your article. If North Korea attacks, the US will rain down fire and fury on North Korea. That’s ONLY if North Korea attacks, not if North Korea doesn’t denuclearize. By the way, the President also said this:
“The United States is ready, willing and able, but hopefully this will not be necessary.”
And this:
“It is time for all nations to work together to isolate the Kim regime until it ceases its hostile behavior.”
The Trump administration is working to isolate North Korea if it doesn’t denuclearize, not to destroy North Korea if it doesn’t denuclearize. President Trump’s threat to destroy North Korea is only if North Korea attacks, which the Chinese and the Russians have both indicated would leave North Korea to face the US alone if North Korea does attack first.
Bombastic speech made for domestic consumption. Pandering to all the usual suspects while most of the rest of the world cringes at his/our apparent lack of self-awareness. And bob, he did not make it at all clear that his threat to “totally destroy (nuke?) North Korea” would only be if they attack first.
But markets are calm …apparently, no one takes the guy all that seriously.
