During today’s joint press conference with the President of Romania, President Trump was asked several questions about yesterday’s testimony of former FBI Director James Comey in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee. As reported by iBankCoin earlier, Trump was quick to point out that Comey confirmed “No collusion. No obstruction. He’s a leaker.”
A few questions later, Trump hesitantly calls on an MSM “Fake News” reporter, who asks again about Comey. Trump insisted he never asked Comey to “let the Flynn thing go.”
The reporter then presses Trump on the existence of the Comey tapes…
Reporter: “And you seem to be hinting that there are recordings of those conversations.”
Trump: “I’m not hinting anything. I’ll tell you about it over a very short period of time….Oh, you’re going to be very disappointed when you hear the answer. Don’t worry.
Translation: The tape exists…

If Trump doesn’t have the tapes – NSA surely does. Why the chicanery?
The tapes will reveal that nothing happened, Trump’s not about to say anything important to someone about to be fired.
And the NSA does not record the WH. They record people like you.

In 2017 audio recordings will not be conclusive, except to the dumb-down, lower intellectual and economic class. Audio manipulation is very sophisticated now.
I think truly unassailable recordings in the White House would only be made by another government agency. If recordings were made by political operatives, White House A/V staff or by someone hired by Trump, they are not credible.
I think the fundamental problem is the intellect of the public. They will fall for a sound bite, even if it is just as fake as an Auto-Tune pop vocal track.

Unassailable audio recordings would be made by a government agency. If such a system is in place at government buildings, an agency would loath having its existence and technical details in the public eye.
Trump started the tapes conversation by tweeting or the possible existence of a recording system. If they do exist and public examination of them is a national security risk, Trump could be historically viewed as leaker-in-chief, who put himself ahead of national security.
No agency will stand up to a President. Only the legislative or judicial branch would.
I think this could legislate and litigate to the Supreme Court.
I think Trump would like replacement Supreme Court justices in place, who can see their way clear to letting this thing go.
Please note my comments are observations. I’m not anti-Trump, he’s done very well for himself. It’s the American people I’m wondering about.
Whistleblowers seem to be the only way to get around all the fake news and contradictions coming from the white house. Because whistleblowers can give the public the truth which the main stream media cannot, we ought to be celebrating Snowden as a grreat Amerivan patriot. Comey is certainly a more reliable source than the great con man now POTUS.
