Nunes Followup: Some Of Trump Surveillance “Inappropriate” – Discloses Multiple FISA Warrants

As reported earlier today, House Intel Chairman Devin Nunes confirmed that Trump had been surveilled during the Obama administration:

“I have seen intelligence reports that clearly show that the president-elect and his team were, I guess, at least monitored,” Nunes told reporters.

To add some more color to what Nunes said,

Legality:

It looks to me like it was all legally collected, but it was essentially a lot of information on the President-elect and his transition team and what they were doing.

Russia?

This information was legally brought to me by sources who thought that we should know it. There were no references whatsoever in everything I read, and it was dozens of reports, and there was no mention of Russia.

Criminal Investigation?

Reporter: Was this surveillance for a criminal investigation?

Nunes: Nope, it has nothing to do with any criminal investigation. It was normal foreign surveillance.

When did surveillance take place?

What I’ve seen was post-election

A few other pertinent bullet points from Nunes’ press conference courtesy of ZeroHedge:

  • *NUNES: BRIEFED PRESIDENT ON CONCERNS OVER INCIDENTAL COLLECTION
  • *NUNES: `PRESIDENT NEEDS TO KNOW’ THESE INTEL REPORTS EXIST
  • *NUNES: SOME OF WHAT I’VE SEEN SEEMS TO BE `INAPPROPRIATE’
  • *NUNES: TRUMP, OTHERS IN TRANSITION PUT INTO INTELLIGENCE REPORT
  • *NUNES: QUESTION IS IF TRUMP SHOULD BE IN THESE `NORMAL’ REPORTS

And the stunner:

Expect liberal arguments over semantics to ensue…

Zero – my local evening news is extremely anti Trump. They just now skimmed through the surveillance confirmation story without even mentioning Nunes’ name, and then somehow included the Manafort/Russia fabrication as justification for the surveillance…

I noticed during the Nunes / Spicer pressers that the MSM aggressively pursued that angle.

That said, Nunes specifically said that in 12 or so reports he saw, there was zero mention of Russia, and what he reviewed was post-election, so the Manafort angle is a straw man.

They had to have been surveilling before election too.

Was thinking the same. Only transition? Makes it way worse. The absolute arrogance and sociopathic tendencies of these scumbags. A junkie mixed with a prison guard that just happened to be a satanist.

Definitely, this was just part of it. A dozen post-election reports, multiple FISA requests, etc. is crazy.

Can’t wait until fingers start getting pointed. ” no, he told me to do it. I was just doing my job. ” No ones taking the fall for the other guy.

@zeropointnow, it’s all a charade and we’re the dummies playing their game. We all know that the NSA has everybody’s data, Klinton’s emails, phone calls, etc. If the clowns in congress really wanted the data, they could’ve subpoenaed the NSA directly.
But they would not dare to do that because that would set a precedent; plus all politicians know that the Deep State has something on everybody; especially the corrupt bureaucrats, so nobody wants to open that can of worms.

Agreed, definitely happening before the election as well. Also the proliferation of this information (to promote leaking) by Obama is well… treasonous.
