Preet – OUT! Surprise Reactions As Preet Bharara Fired Amidst Routine Culling Of Obama Appointees

Late Friday, US Attorney General Jeff Sessions asked 46 US attorneys remaining from the Obama administration to resign. This isn’t really newsworthy – as this changing of the guard is routine for incoming administrations from across the aisle. In fact, here’s a 1993 letter from Janet Reno asking Sessions to tender his resignation to John Podesta:

In conjunction with the culling, Sarah Flores of the DOJ issued the following statement:

“As was the case in prior transitions, many of the United States Attorneys nominated by the previous administration already have left the Department of Justice. The Attorney General has now asked the remaining 46 presidentially appointed U.S. Attorneys to tender their resignations in order to ensure a uniform transition. Until the new U.S. Attorneys are confirmed, the dedicated career prosecutors in our U.S. Attorney’s Offices will continue the great work of the Department in investigating, prosecuting, and deterring the most violent offenders.”

What’s notable, however, is that Southern District of NY attorney, Democrat Preet Bharara was asked to tender his resignation – weeks after President Trump personally asked him to stay on after the election. When Bharara refused to resign earlier today, Trump fired him. This is odd, considering that Bharara was in charge of the Anthony Weiner laptop investigation, the current investigation into NY Mayor Bill DeBlasio, and NY Gov. Cuomo’s aides. Preet was also expected to head any investigations into the Clinton Foundation. Bharara’s interests were seemingly aligned with Trump’s in many respects, so his firing comes as a surprise to many. Something has obviously changed.

Preet’s public record of busting corrupt officials speaks for itself, though he has been criticized in the past for not going far enough in certain cases – notably the heads of Wall St. banks who got off relatively unscathed after causing the financial crisis, while several lower tier bankers and hedge fund managers were popped. This, to me, suggests a few possibilities:

Bharara, an Obama appointee and former chief counsel to Chuck Schumer (D-NY), was stalling or otherwise covering up some aspect of the Weiner laptop investigation and/or investigation into the Clinton Foundation – or has proven himself otherwise not trustworthy. Recall last November Erik Prince, the well connected founder of Blackwater – said that the NYPD was ready to make arrests in the Weiner case, and the chief of the NYPD police department said what he saw on Weiner’s laptop “turned my stomach.” It does beg the question; if the NYPD was apparently hot to trot back in November, why hasn’t anything happened with the case?

or

Trump is smoke and mirrors and isn’t going to pursue Weinergate, the Clinton Foundation, or at minimum wants to control the scope and reach of said investigations. Or perhaps DeBlasio and Cuomo cut some kind of a deal with Trump to back off their respective investigations, and Bharara was unwilling to play ball?

That said, considering the Trump administration’s public push to prosecute pedophiles and human traffickers along with a record number of arrests – including the largest bust in US history, the second option seems less likely. Why has Preet sat on an alleged mountain of evidence in the Weiner case? It’s been over five months since the laptop was handed over by the NYPD, and no progress has been made.

Also, recall the Department of Homeland Security’s human trafficking ad campaign from last February:

As well as Trump’s Executive Order on human trafficking.

Not to mention a tweet today from Kellyanne Conway:

So, it would appear that while the administration is going after suspected pedos / human traffickers with guns blazing – the man in charge of Weinergate has sure taken his sweet time with an alleged mountain of evidence in the case.

Bharara gave a statement, oddly mentioning his life expectancy:

Today, I was fired from my position as US Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Serving my country as US Attorney here for the past seven years will forever be the greatest honor of my professional life, no matter what else I do or how long I live. One hallmark of justice is absolute independence, and that was my touchstone every day that I served. I want to thank the amazing people of the Southern District of New York, the greatest public servants in the world, for everything they do each day in pursuit of justice. They will continue to do the great work of the Office under the leadership of Joon H. Kim, the current Deputy US Attorney, who will serve as Acting US Attorney.

Preet is taking some heat for not stepping down when asked:

Linda Sarsour, the terrorist-linked organizer of WomansMarch wants Preet for Prez:

What say you?

His cabinet doesn’t like him. He went soft on the bankers, but they need to make sure they definitely have someone to go soft next time. The time of being able to do whatever the fuck you want is coming, gotta make sure you don’t get in trouble after.

Just look at that fucking douche bag. Vampires and monsters have always had a certain description since the beginning of time. The only simulation going on is the inability to see of the brainwashed.

I’ll be giving Trump the benefit of the doubt until such time as suspicion is merited. His intentions remain unchanged.

Amazing how everything reverts bag to pedophilia here. It’s getting really creepy. Trump fired Bharara because of his Schumer connection. It was classic case of cut of your nose to spite your face vindictive Trump. Might also be that Bharara was sniffing around some Trump Tower shenanigans and he wants a sympathetic official in that job. Doesn’t that make more sense? Sure it does.

Sure TC, Trump asked Bharara to stay on and then canned him because he turned on him and got too close to the truth. You should have your own cable access show.

We have no evidence of this new theory of yours. What we DO have evidence of is Anthony Weiner texting an underage girl while his toddler lay on the bed next to him, and we know that his laptop was included in the investigation.

What we have hearsay evidence of from relatively credible sources (still stronger than your theory) is the existence of a file labeled “insurance,” the contents of which sickened the NYPD – who were apparently ready to press charges before the Feds made them hand it over.

At minimum, I’d expect Weiner to be charged by now – however there’s been zero traction in the case. At the end of January, the Wall St. Journal reported that the Feds were going to bring child porn charges against him, yet Preet hasn’t done shit – and probably got canned for stalling on the prosecution of a prominent Democrat who’s deeply embedded in the political machine that Bharara owes so much of his career to.

Doesn’t that make more sense? Sure it does.

Zero.. Funny that you discount my plausible theory and layout one totally based on speculation and hearsay. Please don’t provide a cuckpot website as a credible source for an “insurance” file.

The only evidence is Weiner sexting a 15-year-old-girl. An expert on pedophilia like you should know that act doesn’t constitute pedophilia. Not sure what constitutes child porn, but I doubt that does.

You really think an ambitious man like Bharara would sacrifice his future to protect a perv like Weiner? Of course not. Not even close. Sometimes the correct answer is most obvious. Trump wants to freeze an investigation. I’m not saying this is the case.. just that it’s plausible given Trump’s assurances to Bharara a few weeks ago.

So, according to whomever faked news me, human trafficking doesn’t exist? Or since President Trump, they exist and the traffickers are getting popped? The anti America is so confusing these days. MAGA

TC, find some evidence to support your claim and it’ll move up the totem pole of credibility. That’s how it works.

It’s far more credible that after the WSJ reported pending child porn charges against Weiner at the end of January, Preet sat on his ass for 6 weeks amidst a record number of pedo/trafficking busts and it got him fired. In case you hadn’t noticed, the Trump admin is cracking down on that shit, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility that he was canned for inaction on that front.

TC, do you make any money trading? I can’t imagine you do, given your reluctance to let a bad story go. You’re still holding out hope for GPRO aren’t you. It’s gonna come back, I just know it.

My trading has been spectacular. I suggest you follow my picks on OA’ blog. Maybe you’ll even raise enough cash to move out of the doublewide.

ZERO.. don’t you find it weird that Trump would can the guy who is investigating NYC Mayor DiBlasio, a huge critic, and cronies of NYS Governor Cuomo, also a critic and likely 2020 presidential candidate? Think about it..just defies logic if something else weren’t at play. What changed since a few weeks ago when Trump and Sessions both asked him to stay in the job.

Trader, both de Blasio and Cuomo are openly anti-Trump. The logical conclusion is that Preet has been purposefully limiting the scope of, or stalling, the investigations into their offices – the exact thing he’s been criticized for in regards to Wall St. prosecutions. Meanwhile he’s engaging in political theater for what have proven to be dead end cases thus far.

“I’m gonna get you guys, waaaatch out!!! Preet’s bringin’ the heat!!!”

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/preet-bharara-de-blasio-cuomo-stay-tuned-article-1.2598678

So, given precedent; stalling on Wall St. and no meaningful action in the Cuomo / de Blaso cases, does it MAYBE make sense that Preet – a democrat who owes much of his success to Chuck Schumer’s political spider web – who is in turn cronies (your word) with de Blasio and Cuomo – MIGHT simply be a democrat puppet?

Thus, might Preet have also been sitting firmly on the Weiner, stalling what was by all outward appearances a clear cut case?

Of course. I have $97.21 in a TD Ameritrade account. I’m waiting for a pull back in AAPL to buy a share. Don’t sprain your arm patting yourself on your back for your trades. If you haven’t noticed, the market has gone nowhere but up. Everyone is making money. Congrats though.
