The President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, made it clear to CNBC that while Russia’s actions involving Crimea must come to a peaceful resolution, the most important issues facing Europe right now are terrorism and migration. Despite Finland pledging $55 Million Euros to NATO, Niinistö also made it clear that European nations need to ultimately be responsible for their own security.
I think that Europeans start to understand that they have to take more responsibility of their own security, in spite of the fact that they are members of NATO.
We still have conscription… …if we call our trained reserves, we have a bigger army than Germany, even though we are some 15 times smaller.

No, it’s a combination of terrorism and migration. And also, Russia – what happened to Crimea in Ukraine. In the Western parts of the union, people are more shocked with terrorism and migration, and in the Eastern parts, it’s Russia.
Crimea is about the flow of energy into Europe, not some humanitarian crisis – though Putin might want to send some more love their way if he’s going to keep them.

I gotcha ironbird – and I fundamentally agree: why should we the people have to pay? We shouldn’t. But if Trump and our allies can’t wipe out the radicals and keep them out of America, do our children pay in blood later? Do we as a country have an obligation to rebuild what the neocons destroyed? We voted those dicks in and gave them the reigns – though the alternatives have been on the same team. Trump is the first guy in a long time who isn’t totally owned.

We should go after ISIS now, but we’re also looking at eventual religious civil war on US soil after being infiltrated. I think we should follow military action with some form of reparations to stop the remaining population from radicalizing. It’s that constant cycle that needs to stop, or we just commit more US souls to a lost cause. At least US companies would make $$ on the rebuild if we manage it all. I also think it would cost a fraction of what people might think. Billions rebuilding and de-radicalizing, not Trillions on prolonged war.
As far as them being backwards, that will change with technology and Western information contradicting what their old book tells them. People aren’t going to take that religious hard-line shit forever.

I hope Saudi Arabia’s army of assholes aren’t being shuffled over to US soil after getting kicked to the curb in Syria. I have no doubt that we’ll be able to defend ourselves if they come at us directly, but terrorist warfare is fucking brutal. I am sure we can wipe them out on their own turf – but how do we prevent the constant cycle of aggrieved family members radicalizing, invading from Canada, and exacting revenge?
