Journalist Glenn Greenwald, who is not a fan of President-elect Trump, appeared on Tucker Carlson tonight to discuss the dangerous ongoing effort among powerful anti-Trump factions within the US Government’s “Deep State,” who have collaborated with members of the Democratic Party and the traditionally liberal media to inflict maximum damage on the incoming President. Recall Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s ominous “six ways from Sunday” comment from 10 days ago.
Greenwald, an accomplished litigator, journalist, and author, does a masterful job illustrating the players, motives, and potential fallout from this dangerous effort within the US Government’s intelligence apparatus. Greenwald goes deep, discussing how Trump’s election ruined the plan for regime change in Syria, specifically mentioning, among other things, that the deep state was waiting for Obama to leave office before executing their plan:
The number one foreign policy priority of the CIA over the last four to five years has been the proxy war they’re waging in Syria to remove Bashar Al Assad – and Hillary Clinton was quite critical of Obama for constraining them. She wanted to escalate that war to unleash the CIA, to impose a no-fly zone in Syria to confront Russia, whereas Trump took the exact opposite position. He said we have no business in Syria trying to change the government, we ought to let the Russia and Assad go free and killing ISIS and Al Quaeda and whoever else they want to kill.
He [Trump] was a threat to the CIA’s primary institutional priority of regime change in Syria. Beyond that, Clinton wanted a much more confrontational and belligerent posture towards Moscow, which the CIA has been acrimonious with for decades, whereas Trump wanted better relations. They viewed Trump as a threat to their institutional pre-eminence to their ability to get their agenda imposed on Washington.
What you’re seeing is actually quite dangerous. There really is at this point obvious open warefare between this un-elected, but very powerful faction that resides in Washington and sees Presidents come and go – on the one hand, and the person that the American democracy elected to be elected on the other. There’s clearly extreme conflict and subversion taking place. ‘
This really is a must-watch, and goes hand-in-hand with Tucker’s interview with Dr. Stephen Cohen this week:
Meanwhile ex-spook and security consultant John Schindler – who is very clearly part of the faction to remove Trump by any means, sent out an ominous tweet yesterday which mentioned “taking traitor Trump out now.”
This is overt, and Schindler also just more or less outed Washington Post’s David Ignatius as a CIA mouthpiece (along the same vein as Deep Throat, perhaps we can refer to Ignatius’s source as Golden Shower?).
This cavalier attitude towards assassinating Donald Trump has been supported by social media giant Facebook:
And nothing, to the best of my knowledge, has been done about the multitude of death threats Trump has received – including ones from individuals who have visited the White House and have CIA connections.
Meanwhile 8 years ago, a La Mesa, California man was charged, arrested, and thrown in a halfway house for 60 days for going on a drunken, racist, profanity laced online tirade against President-elect Obama ending in “he will have a 50 cal in the head soon.” – a conviction which was later reversed when the threats were found to be not credible.
Perhaps the secret service is merely spread too thin to investigate these threats, or perhaps President-elect Trump is wise to have his own private security.

Tons of respect for GG, a consummate professional in a profession littered with failures and shills.
I have partial respect for GG. I think Snowden did us a public service by letting us know what our government was doing in huge scale spying on citizens. And GG helped him.
OTOH, GG helped Snowden to get to Russia, and wants him to stay safe, so he may owe something to Russia now. And Snowden and GG fit into a community of people who are mostly hackers, whether Anonymous, WikiLeaks etc.. Those organizations used to be non-partisan. But now they all seem to have a bias that is pro-Russian, pro-Republican, and anti-Obama, anti- HRC, and anti-Democrat.
Hackers have been co-opted into the Republican establishment totally. Trump is a feature, not a bug, in the Republican establishment. Trump is simply the Trojan horse that establishment Republican Pence rode into the White House on. Unless Trump gives establishment Republicans what they want, they will impeach him or otherwise de-activate him. And Pence will be in charge totally then.
If GG is not a fan of Trump, he sure could have fooled me.
At least this report does characterize Obama as the relative dove that he is, which most people on this site deny him credit for. HRC ‘s view is understandable too though. Assad is a butcher, slaughtering large numbers of his own people, and sending a lot of the rest of his people fleeing– filling up the world up with millions of refugees. We could do worse things than to take him out. OTOH, we could do better things than to take him out too. IMO it would be better to just stay out of the Middle East from now on and let them solve their own problems.
Trump pisses a lot of people off, quite intentionally sometimes and other times because of his tremendous ignorance of the workings of government. So I find it easy to believe that a lot of people feel like killing Trump, and that they may tweet about doing so when they are drunk. But that does not necessarily mean that they will do it.
You don’t know what Facebook supports because you didn’t show whatever statement they were referring to, only that the COMPLAINER called it Assassinate Donald Trump. Who knows what the statement actually said. It might have been some obvious joke. Anyone could send an anonymous complaint to Facebook about a cat video and label it Assassinate Donald Trump. That doesn’t mean it really is that.
What specifically was the complainer complaining about? That is the meaningful question there.
DT’s supporters tweeted death threats, to people DT criticized, during the whole election campaign. Presidents often have death threats against them. That doesn’t mean they are necessarily serious credible threats. In fact, if someone were going to do that, why on earth would they threaten the president first? They probably would not.
The Facebook complaint was about an entire discussion group called “Assassinate Donald Trump,” not an individual comment.
These are serious threats from capable people, not drunken tweets.
If it Assassinate Donald Trump Discussion Group were a serious threat, it would definitely have violated Facebook community standards. It could be a name for a discussion group of people who are pissed off at Trump. I doubt they are using their discussions to seriously make plans to assassinate him.
As to the other threats, it is unclear how serious they are, if at all. But if you were seriously considering assassinating someone as well protected as the president, would you tweet about it first?
Tucker looks like the gaylord here but good post
frog. How does it feel deep down inside to know in a few days you are finished? The bitching and whining will be punishable then. Are you afraid? You should be. The hammer is coming down hard. You must realize that it is over.
GG is NOT a Trump supporter. Frog, you’d peddling fake news again.
Sad part of above article, is that it peddles what is known to all major governments as a CIA fraud, the Rothschild employee & ex-gay-p-rnographer Glenn Greenwald, funded with US $50 million by CIA billionaire & Ukraine-war-crime-sponsor Pierre Omidyar … who certainly would not support a real major dissident, tho glad to back up the immense hoax of Dick Cheney’s little friend ‘Edward Snowden’, whom Vladimir Putin himself publicly hints is a fraud (tho he plays along for now)
As well-covered on e.g. Veterans Today – and touched on at The Daily Bell & ZeroHedge – the anti-9-11-truth trio of Greenwald, Edward Snowden & Julian Assange, are all hoaxers run by factions of the intel agencies, the 3 of them now hopped onto the Trump bandwagon in a desperate attempt to re-legitimise themselves in the face of how they are all obviously Fake News Frauds
For more on the no-doubt-about-it Snowden-Assange-Greenwald frauds, their ties to Dick Cheney & Zbig Brzezinski etc see e.g.
http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/09/21/russia-govt-report-snowden-greenwald-are-cia-frauds/
Also, Rothschild-lawyer-backed Assange, is almost certainly not really ‘living at the Ecuador Embassy’ but just moved in & out for photos / meetings. Assange is joined by Snowden & ‘constitutional lawyer’ Greenwald in not only opposing 9/11 truth, but also, quite laughably, in refusing to discuss the USA Virginia federal judge court corruption … the wide exposure of which would instantly make the extraditions of Assange & Snwden impossible … Amongst many other facts, this totally proves they are all fakes, as the CIA agents Snowden & Assange are, like good CIA agents, totally hostile to court data which would block the extraditions they claim to fear.
This hoaxer Snowden-Assange-Greenwald trio, even used the case of UK hacker Lauri Love to promote themselves, with Snowden tweeting about him, but then hid the judge bribery info that would have saved Lauri Love, or anyone else, from being extradited to USA.
Amongst items to note:
– Laughably, the official story is that Snowden first ‘leaked’ to Dick Cheney’s friend & biographer at the Washington Post, anti-9-11-truth Bart Gellman … no real ‘dissident’ would ‘leak’ to Dick Cheney’s friend at a flagship CIA newspaper
– One can see Greenwald produces very little with his $50 million ‘brave great journalism’ operation at ‘The Intercept’, aside from me-too bashing of the corrupt Hillary and trying to bathe himself in Trump’s popularity
– Assange has had Rothschild lawyers & Snowden & family CIA-tied lawyers, who never represent real dissidents
– Snowden’s revelations were not ‘new’, just more details on what was fairly fully on ‘conspiracy’ websites from 5+ previous NSA whistle-blowers & even in a 2008 book
– Snowden & Assange were both creations pumped by CIA newspapers New York Times & UK Guardian, global kings of Fake News, who both have criminal charge complaints against them in Europe, for taking bribes to engage in libellous attacks & defamations against real US dissidents
– Snowden & Assange have likely helped identify, silence, maybe even murder real dissidents, who were duped into contacting NY Times / UK Guardian / the oily Greenwald / Wikileaks
– And much more at the link above
Years ago, both Zbigniew Brzezinski & Benjamin Netanyahu, both blurted out that Julian Assange’s ‘Wikileaks’ were ‘selected’ by US-Israeli intel agencies & have quite been Israel-protecting … The pro-Trump ‘leaks’ of Assange this year, were part of a package to prop up Assange’s crumbling credibility, with Greenwald & Snowden tagging along
In short, there is zero legitimacy to Snowden, Assange or Greenwald … Very funny that people trust ‘dissidents’ who were all served up by the CIA’s own media conduits, as ‘limited hang-out’ Trojan horses to deflect from & de-legitimise more important truths, & to destroy real dissidents duped into trusting Greenwald & his gang
The people in Syria get the government they deserve. It takes an iron fist to keep their barbaric tendencies in check.
I did not say that GG calls himself a Trump supporter. He does not. I said that if he is not a fan of Trump, he sure could have fooled me. See above.
As for the FBI, Trump is upset with the intelligence agencies because they disagree with him, and because they say things that make him look bad. Given that, he may get rid of them, or at least slash their budgets. If he does do that, they will not be in any position to expand their services by investigating every drunk person who tweets that he would like to assassinate Trump.
You can’t have it both ways. If you need an agency to protect you, then you can’t destroy it because you want to kill them for being the messenger of certain news that makes you look bad.
Well, husaria, you did express an opinion here, rather than just insulting someone else. So good for you.
What you said about Syria could be true of some countries. I don’t really know. Some say that this is the reason why the U.S. invasion of Iraq and take down of Saddam Hussein, went so badly.
There are other possible explanations though, that may be true instead– or in addition to that explanation.. E.g. it may also be true that these nations are tribal– even more tribal than the U.S. is becoming. And thus, when an outside force takes down the leader of one tribe, then there is a power vacuum that may be filled by a rival tribe– and that rival tribe may be even harsher than the originally leading tribe.
So when you take out a butcher type leader, you dis-empower his entire tribe, and you give more power to one or more rival tribes. And perhaps you cause big power struggle conflicts over which tribe(s) now gets to have power and to lead.
There is the possibility that if the U.S. took out Assad in Syria, that the next faction that would take over would be ISIS. ISIS is Sunni– although certainly not all Sunnis support ISIS– and Assad is Shia.
OTOH, Russia is artificially supporting Assad, against the will of his own people. And now it looks like Trump will likely be supporting Russia in all matters. Which is hardly ideal for the U.S. — to be treating our interests as if they were identical to those of a foreign nation.
Braantian, what is the nature of this Veterans Today web site? Do you find it to have a consistent point of view? I find nothing about them on the web. On their own site, they list a lot of people on their editorial board, here.
http://www.veteranstoday.com/staff-writers/
But I don’t know who these people are. So far, I am not finding wikipedia pages on them or anything outside of Veterans Today that says they exist.
The web site appears on the face of it like a standard liberal bashing, HRC bashing, Trump supporting, conspiracy theory web site. Given that, I am surprised that they don’t think well of GG. But, as Fly, and I, both noted above, GG does not openly call himself a Trump supporter, so maybe that is one reason why Veterans Today doesn’t think highly of GG.
Since I can’t find any background on Veterans Today’s editors, I don’t know if anyone there has a reputation for backing up their statements with any real evidence or not.
So I don’t really know whether the site is credible or not. Anyone can put up a web site and then say anything they want to, even if they made it all up out of their imagination. I don’t see any hyperlinks inside of the article you linked to on Veterans Today. So I see no way to corroborate their statements with any other source.
The only one with true ill-will towards Trump is Melania. She wants nothing to do with him.. it’s so freakin’ obvious. Her death-stare is epic.
LOL that Veteran’s Today site is propaganda for the elderly.
The USA is unmanageable. Washington domiciled organisations are dumbly bringing this fact to open viewing as we speak. Good luck Mr.Trump the world needs you now!
Cut the budgets and organisations by 50% or more as required until you can get a handle on it.
Soupbone is correct. Let’s give Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico back to Mexico and save money by noty building the wall. Auction off the meaningless states like the Dakotas and Alabama to the highest bidder. Would anyone really care? No.
Why do you hate America Trader?
