He does not really believe this, it is reverse psychology. Trying to avoid a brexit like situation where young dems don’t show to vote because they think it is over.
Naïve, Moore may very well have thought this video would scare liberals into voting, but he goes way too deep and hits people right in the core. There is no way around it. I think he converts way more swing voters than anything else. If this was reverse psychology, it’s backfiring.

He’s possibly trying to position himself as appealing to Trump supporters and moderates so they see his movie.
That being said, he deserves credit for being open minded enough and aware enough to not be blind to this.

Yeah, well this isn’t ABOUT Clinton, or even so much about Trump, per se (in fact, he’s issuing a warning against Trump). It’s about HIS SUPPORTERS. No, we are not racists. No, we are not bigots. Yes, we are pretty decent people. And yes, we are the DISPOSSESSED.
He’s not “positioning” himself. He is speaking the same damn Truths he has been speaking for the last three decades. And as for the part of the speech that came afterwards, it was WRONG. I hear a lot about how Obama’s and Trump’s unemployment rates are near-identical. Well, I’ll tell you the damn difference: We read about the low unemployment rates under Obama while standing on the unemployment line. We read about Trump’s low unemployment rates during lunch hour!
